Hi there,

I had completed a diploma at Capilano University and I had applied for PGWP for my husband and kids on December, 2018. However, my husband's was refused in February, 2019 since I was not employed in an occupation that falls within the NOC Skill level 0, A, B. As his work permit was going to expire in March 30, 2019, he had applied for visitor visa which was cancelled with no further reason.
In June 2019, I had started working in an occupation that falls within the NOC B and I had already three payslips. At this moment, how can I apply for a work permit for my husband?

Thank you for your support,
Estela

Clarify. Did he apply to change his status to visitor prior to his OWP expiring and that app was refused? Is he out of status and still in Canada?

Hello,
I have completed my studies and I have applied for PGWP for myself and SOWP in July 2020.
Currently, I'm on Employed Insurance benefits (lost my job due to COVID-19).
My husband is working full-time in Canada.

His OWP is expiring soon.

What should we do during this wait time?
1) Should my husband apply for a TRV extension?
2) Should I just keep on looking for NOC 0, A, B job?
3) Is my husband eligible to continue working after OCT 15, 2020?

Thanks

Why did you apply for SOWP when you don’t qualify?
1. Your husband must change his status to visitor before his OWP runs out
2. Yes
3. your husband will need to stop working

So , when my husband is eligible for an SOWP?
1) I have a regular job in NOC 0, A, B ? OR
2) I work ANY full-time/part-time job?

You need to have a job that is NOC A, B or 0.
