Pakistani students are getting rejected even AFTER passing the AIP stage, with generic reasons like 'wont leave canada' or 'not a bonafide student'. According to IRCC these things are covered in the AIP stage, and applicants may be rejected based on medicals/criminality/admissibility checks. I get that visas arent our birthright, but fairness is. And this crap IRCC is pulling keeps discouraging students from applying.
Is there any way we can lodge a 'concern' to appropriate people in their government?

Yes another student from Pakistan received refusal after AIP yesterday. It's very frustrating.

Exactly, and that student had a decent enough profile. Im not generalizing but Indian applicants with even subpar applications for PGDs are accepted, while we are being rejected for decent public universities

I just saw in fb one more student received refusal after AIP I don't know if both are same students

Don’t get me wrong but country of citizenship matters alot in visa applications. Just for eg. many African countries have more than 80% refusal rate. Btw did ircc organised any webinar for Pakistan students. .???

in other words it is known as discrimination.
Obviously. You think they reject USA applicants for canada universities? USA students just have to apply at the port of entry and in 5 mins they have their visa. nothing else. easy peasy lemon squezzy for them. we are the ones that stop our life and wait 6 months for a visa

It is not discrimination. The refusals are based on each application and statistics on how many students completed their Canadian studies based on their country of origin, who overstayed, who applied for asylum on arrival, etc. There is a much larger number of Indian students applying so it may seem that they never get rejected but there are plenty of I dian students who do get rejected.

after how much did they receive this letter?
like time between aip and error letter
Next day. I'd say under 30 hours. Some other students on FB group are claiming that they have received this too.

okay hope so this will not happen to Indian students
because refusal before aip is very less in India

It wasn't the refusal issue. The issue IRCC highlighted is that due to glitch in the system, some students have received AIP in error yesterday. I am not sure how many students are effected with this.

For example, applicants who pass the preliminary eligibility assessment may still be refused based on eligibility reasons once biometrics are collected. Once services begin to resume, applicants who are able to submit missing information or documents previously requested of them will begin to do so, at which time the application will move into the second stage of processing and officers will process the application to finalization.
