Hi, I'm helping someone complete a visitor's visa application for a family member abroad who wishes to visit. According to the person I'm helping, the application went through but came back with "Your Express Entry profile has been reviewed and we have determined that you are not eligible for Express Entry at this time." Which leads me to think that they applied for the wrong visa.

I've never done this myself so I'm not very clear on how to fix this. If anyone has any advice that would be very much appreciated!

What kind of visa are you trying to apply for that person? You probably did answer the questionnaire wrong and that’s what will determine the kind of visa you need

This is the complicated part - I'm not doing the application. I'm just helping in the process, with getting the documents in order etc. I'm actually in another city altogether so I can't see what it is that they're doing.

It should be a visitor's visa (TRV) so I'm not sure how the application ended up with a rejection for Express Entry which is something totally different. I just don't know what to say now... whether they can reapply for the TRV or if something else needs to be done first about this denied application.

Edit: Okay well I spoke with someone at CRCC and it appears you can just continue to apply for the TRV.

1. It would appear that they applied for EE rather than a TRV.
