I have a PR and I'm sponsoring my to-be spouse:
I am travelling to India for my marriage and I'll probably stay there for a good 2-3 months working remotely. I am planning to take all of my documents with me, and then after marriage, prepare all of her documents, and get her signature.
The website says they expect the application to be mailed to them, if I mail from India as soon as we can get things ready, I'll be able to save 45-60 days of processing time compared to coming back to Canada and mailing it from here.
I have enough documents to prove that I live in Canada(My bank statements, Rental lease, PR, driver's license) and have only visited India temporarily(when applying), so my application will state that I'm currently residing here in Canada, but the sender's address on my application package will be from India as I plan to send it from there. Will this affect the process in any way ? Is it a bad idea to send from India? should I wait and send after I'm back here?
Thanks
