Hi,

Question 1
I lost the job with approved LMIA but the spouse has an Open Work Permit which is linked to my work permit. that is not valid anymore. Can she work in Canada?

Question 2
If she works in Canada what kind of job offer and the number of hours she needs to apply for PR as a Canadian Experience Class?

Question 3
If I will leave for work outside Canada am I allowed to re-enter to meet them?

@scylla and other please guide. Thanks

1) Yes, she can work as long as her OWP is valid.
2) She needs to have at least 52 separate weeks where she has worked 30 hours or more to qualify for CEC. To get the 50 points for having a job offer, her employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA.
3) Hard to say with the current travel restrictions. You should be but not guaranteed.

Thanks Scylla. Can she work for multiple employers or she needs to get a permanent job offer to be in CEC category?

To get the 1 year of Canadian work experience, she can work for multiple employers. The jobs must all be NOC A, B or 0 skill level. Also, she cannot be self employed.

To get the 50 additional points for having a job offer, it needs to be a full time job with a single employer and that employer must obtain an approved LMIA.
