My Work Reference Letter Missing my lastname

Hi,

Can you help me please.

I was able to get a reference letter from my previous employer but they didn't add my last name to the letter. Only my first name and middle name is written.

If I ask them to fix it, it will take another two months or I might not get it at all.

Is it ok to submit the letter without the last name?

You can include a LOE with your document and upload it. At the same time request a new document with the last name. Once you have the corrected document raise a CSE and send it to IRCC to be added to the application

Thank you for your reply. They will not issue me a new letter with the last name added.

On my passport, there are 4 names listed. The format is like this:

My name + Father name + Grand Father name + Family name

On the letter, all the names are listed except Family name.


Do you think a LOE will be enough in this case?

Do you have copy of their response? If you do then include it with your letter of explanation
