Digital photo - Professional photographer??

Hi all,

Apparenntly the digital photo has to be taken by a professional photographer, according to the IRCC checklist : https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/i...ormation/applications/guides/pdf/5445eb-e.pdf

I think it's a bit over the top.. I was originally planning to take a picture with my smartphone, but now I'm wondering if I should go to a professional photographer.

What will be the safest and cost effective way?

By professional photographer they also mean something like a Shopper's Drug Mart.

It just cannot be you, a smartphone, or your family with a smartphone.

Any place that does passport photos will likely know what to do with PR application photos.
