Even I am waiting for VFS to reopen.
Are you applying from UAE? VFS is open in UAE and the Canadian Embassy aswell. I called VFS awhile ago. Apparently their also collecting some passport recently which means embassy is issuing final decision. But most probably those are for permant resident which will be prioritize over international student.

No, there is no any approval Happened since March 18th. ...for those applied from ourside Canada. .as well as, refusals are trending to 95% Canada doesn't want people coming from outside at the meantime until the pandemic deteriorates.

If anyone have any other evidence of approval since March 18 th from outside Canada, I challenge him here.

Regards,

I would suggest any information shared must have a back up link or screen shot. Coz misinformation is not going to help us at all.

Im really hoping they will issue some sort of temporary visa for us to start studying online while theyre sorting out their immigration issues. I would like to study online outside Canada, defering is a huge waste of time. And for sure admission next year will be alot harder. International student from US will add to competition.

They didn't do it for May intake, so I doubt they'd do the same for September.
Another reason why they won't issue temporary status to new students outside Canada is because what happens when the temporary status expires and the student was found to be ineligible and their SP applications rejected? The student will not be able to continue their education despite having already invested thousands of dollars in first semester or first year tuition fees, and that wouldn't be fair.

I agree with you. Lets hope for the best. The immigration minister is publicly inviting international student to Canada, lets just hope that invitation is true by issuing SP and allowing student to really come and study in Canada.
