Abbreviating states and places

Hello,

There are some spots on the application that have free-entry fields for addresses. I understand that you're not supposed to use any abbreviations (street instead of St, apartment instead of apt., etc.)

One question that I have - If I'm listing states in the USA, are those subject to the same rules? Should I type out "Connecticut" or "Ohio" vs CT or OH? Does USA need to be spelled out "United States of America?"

Lol. I feel a little dumb, now.

I've seen such instructions on other forums. I guess that I assumed that was official discourse. Also, when I immigrated to the United States, the instructions were to abstain from using any abbreviations, so it made sense to me.

I Didn't realize, but I guess that I won't worry about it? lol.
