Address Notification for PR Card

Hi everyone! I just want to thank you all for your replies. Finally we received our PR cards. Actually we got it since April but I haven't had the time to check out this forum. Now I think I'd like to share what we did.

So after we landed in Toronto last February and after trying to use the CIC online tool to update our address only to fail, we called the CIC instead. It was difficult to reach their agents so you really need to be patient and wait until you finally get connected with someone. For me, I think it took me more than 30 minutes before an agent picked up my call. After speaking to the agent, we were advised of the estimated date of the arrival of our PR cards, which was April 18.

When we returned here in Dubai, we just waited until April. The PR cards arrived as expected. We went to DHL here in Dubai and arranged for pick-up in Toronto; we just gave them the pick-up address, the contact person in Toronto (which was my aunt), her email and phone number. They sent an email to my aunt to ask when they can pick-up the documents, and my aunt gave them two options. Finally they came to pick up the documents from my aunt, and then they sent us the airway bill so we can track the shipment. After few days we finally got the PR cards straight from Toronto.

Hello, we just landed here in Toronto last 3 Feb 2018 and today we have been trying to use to online tool of CIC to notify them of our address where they can mail our PR cards. The issue is after submitting the required details on the web page, it says that they are not able to identify me.

All the details I entered are correct and I have not used the online tool before, so I'm not sure what's wrong. I already sent a report to CIC website, still waiting for their response.

Anyone who experienced the same issue? What have you done in your case?

We landed on 21st May 2018, and we gave address on the declaration card. My IO didnt ask for adres for pr card or he didnt tell me to update address online.. Anyway we need to get our pr cards on the same address that v gave on declaration card. Wat can i do now. V r outside Canada now (qatar). i tried doing it online and found that it is not working for me. tried calling them while in canada and found that they r not picking call. please advise.

Wow..that's great...you can send a DHL to your aunt place at Toronto then DHL sent you the PR card. That's good idea. Is this a general pickup service available in other country as well ??

Hi, I'm guessing that the service is available in other country since DHL is an international courier service. You can visit a DHL branch near you and check with them.

Dial this number from US to reach cic.. *67 613 944 4000. *67 is to mask caller number. It works 100% and I updated my address using this way.

Use webform and remember to change all your dependant as well. That is what we we did and we got our card.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I have tried to use the webform but for some reason it says that it does not recognize the details I provided (DOB, COB, UCI number, etc).
I managed to call IRCC and updated them.

If you are calling from US or outside Canada, just call the same number the way I have specified in my post. I am not sure how to call from within Canada.

Thanks a lot. I ended up calling this number from my skype account and it worked. Waiting time was 45mn. The number is +1 6139444000. This is so funny, being in Canada, I had to call the number for people outside Canada, in order to reach them

Canada is +1 or 001, not 011.

Use Google Hangouts dialer to dial the number. Dial starting *67 followed by IRCC number. Don't use 011 before.

Hello dear,

I landed in Canada on 2nd of March at Vancouver as the PoE. My immigration officer asked me to provide address in canada,, so that they can send PR card to my Canadian address. I provided the address accordingly. Now, when. I checked my PR card application status, it shows that my home address is in Canada ( which I provided during my immigration at Vancouver airport), but my mailing address still shows the same which is the address in Bangladesh. Is it okay? Will cic send my PR card at my Canada address.Currently I am back to my home country.

Hi all, if I land in toronto as softlanding, can I give an address of a friend in Ottawa for the PR card to be delivered or it should be Toronto?
