Hi friends,

I am on closed work permit laid off from job. I have applied my PR paper base September 2019 under NSNP skilled worker category.

If I change my Employer . Do I need ‘No objection Letter’ (or releasing letter) from my current employer ? I am laid off and I have my ROE. Because as this lay off is temporary coz of Covid.
Check your Confirmation of Nomination to see if it's restricted to Specific Employment or not. If you'll come back to work with the same Employer, it is fine because you've been laid off due to the pandemic.
But if you change your employer, it might affect your pr application.

They give you 90 days to collect your bio-metric instead of 30days. Since all the Biometric services has closed, ircc has extended the deadline. Hopefully Service Canada re-open in early July... the pandemic is unpredictable. :(
what happens if biometrics is not open this year? all immigration process is hold for that?

Unfortunately, yes, i think so.

What i've found on Canada.ca

Biometrics collection in Canada
As a temporary measure, to help keep everyone safe,

  • all biometrics appointments, including walk-ins, at Service Canada offices are cancelled until further notice
  • no application will be refused or closed if you aren’t able to give your biometrics within the period indicated on your BIL
While the service is temporarily suspended at Service Canada locations, don’t go to another biometrics collection service, including

  • Canadian ports of entry
  • other international biometrics collection locations
When Service Canada resumes collecting biometrics, you’ll have to make a new appointment at a designated Service Canada office. You won’t need a new BIL.

Thank you for the reply.

Yes it is employer specific. Even I change my Job due to pandemic still it will effect my process?
And how it effects. Does it gets delayed for few more months ?

Thank you!!

I got the below reply from Nova Scotia Immigration. I asked them if I can change my job or not.....

Hello,

Thank you for your email. If you have received a provincial nomination from our office through the Skilled Worker stream (https://novascotiaimmigration.com/move-here/skilled-worker/) and have not received an approval on your permanent residence application to the federal government (IRCC), you would need to notify our office when you decide to switch to a different job than the one you were nominated with. We will have to reassess your new job offer to make sure it continues to meet the requirements for the Skilled Worker stream. If not, we may have to rescind your nomination.

Hello Everyone

Quick question behalf of my friend

In year 2015 he was applied for visitors visa with Retail sales supervisor job title (Noc code 6211) & it was rejected. So now he applied for sinp paper based applications and in work experience he mention in the year of 2015 Retail Merchandise (Noc code 6222). So it will make any negative impact on application. Please advice for him

His status as per gcms notes from last month

Eligibility : Passed
Criminality : Passed
Medical : Passed

Thanks in advance
