Express entry > PNP thorugh interest (no employer attached) > waiting last biometric steps job update?

I am currently on my last few steps of my PR application ( i was requested to give my biometrics but the services are not available as of now)
I just switched jobs, do i have to provide an update? I have a post graduate open work permit and my application is non employer attached

Sorry, I meant to say update the PR application. Like for example when you are in the express entry stage, you are supposed to update the application if your job situation changes. Does it apply to the final PR application too?

When you say Express Entry stage, what does that mean? Set up profile? In the pool? ITA received? Application submitted post ITA?

Express entry as when you submit it to the pool.
So my application was selected from the pool , started a new application for (permanent residence) and I had to do a medical test As well as provide some background paperwork . I am stuck in the stage of giving out my biometrics due to covid19 but after this stage I pretty much have the PR card. My question is, that if I am in the stage, do I still need to update my application regarding any job changes? Or am I safe to assume that I got it and don’t need to update? (The application interface doesn’t let me update documents like when I was in the Pool) if I were to update my application at this stage I would have to send a ticket with my application number and files probably

From your explanation above, I do not believe you need to inform IRCC of your change in employer.
