Student visa for kid

Hi.i want to apply for student visa for my kid in 2023-24 academic year in school for 1 or 2 grade .want to start admission process early.we parents don't have any visa.will parents get visa to work in Canada while our kid s studying and is it possible for our kid to study in Canada, since he is minor??

Parents would not qualify for a visa to work in Canada due to a minor attending school. You would have to have a guardian to look after your child although at that age maybe not such a good plan. You either need to find an employer to support an LMIA for a work permit or look at getting a study permit yourself or apply for PR

Hi, actually my cousin sister is settled with pr in Canada and is a teacher..can she be the guardian for my kid or can we parents get guardian or parent visa to accompany our kid for his education.

No you would need to remain home. Your sister could be the guardian. You will need to pay for rhe interntation fwwl of 10-15k per year plus her expenses. Wouldn't recommend sending a young child to Canada to attend elelmentary school and live with a family member. you will have to show whether you have the funda to pay 15k or more for the next 12 years. If he/she wants to attend university or college in India

Thanks for the reply..what if the parent applies for study visa with a study gap of 10years where in this gap has work experience of 5 industry years and 2 college teaching experience ( completed Bachelor of engineering in 2010)..will the parent get student visa .?? If so can the whole family get visa??

We wont know until you apply cuz every case is different. Let us know if you get it or not.

Will depend if the choice of program makes sense based on previous education and will lead to career progression. It would also need to make sense financially for the family. Families of international students aren't guarateed visas/permits.

To be honest your whole plan seems to be a challenge to understand what you may be trying to achieve. Sure you can apply for a study permit assuming that any course makes sense based on your current qualifications, work experience and future prospects post course in your home country.

As above there is never a 100 percent guarantee that student dependents can accompany so that is a risk. From a course viewpoint not a lot of point in any course less than 2 years long or 2x1 courses back to back given either option could get a 3 year PGWP. Financially maybe expect to spend for a couple years near 60000 dollars in course/living fees maybe more with a family accompanying so no small investment and only part time work allowed for the student although a spouse could also try to get a work permit for full time, not guaranteed.

Ultimately you need to set a goal what you are actually trying to achieve if just to put a child in grade 1/2 save your money, if your objective is immigration thats a whole different multi year committment giving up your job and moving country,

The only almost certainty though is not to bank on getting any visa through your childs application although as with the study permit with dependents only you can decide to apply or not who knows stranger things have happened, this is only a public forum
