For those who did not pay RPRF fee upfront - How did you pay it after submitting the application?

I Have yet to pay it and my Webform reply today said that a decision had been made I should wait for the officer to notify me.

I think not paying the RPRF could slow this process for me.
I think they will send you a request for that.

Heartiest congratulations to everybody who got PR approval.

I am PNP-outland candidate.
As of April last week , my eligibility was passed ; background check was yet to start. I am waiting for GCMS notes for last 45+ days.
I raised web form on 29th May , still awaiting their reply.
However , I received below eMail from IRCC today morning :

***************************IRCC eMail *******************************
We're still working on your application.
You may not have heard from us in a little while. This is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date.
We send messages to your account if we need something from you. When we do that, we'll also send you an email to this address: XXXXXXXXX
*************************eMail ends ***********************************

Did anybody receive such eMail ? If yes , is there any significance of this ?
Please let me know.

Thanks.
I also got back to back 3 mails like this in one day yesterday.
Not sure what it means

@Hope2021 , I lived in Ontario for a year before moving to BC. I prefer living in BC and here are the reasons why:
1. Rent is roughly the same ( Avg. $1500/2 bdrm)
2. The winters are milder
3. Food costs roughly the same (fresher ground provisions in BC due to food production)
4. Less ppl fighting over jobs. For e.g. I worked in Banking for 14 years and when i applied in Ontario I wasn't even shortlisted. Now I'm working for a Bank in BC that recognizes my previous experience and the salary is 60% more than what i was getting in Ontario. I even flew to Edmonton for training and had my expenses covered (meals, accommodation, fares etc.) by my employer.
5. Used cars cost roughly the same (but theres a used car tax of an extra 12%) but signing over ownership is easy.
6. Employers are more aware of work permits and implied status. For e.g. my spouse moved from Ontario and was hired by a company with his expired SIN and implied status work permit. They didnt even ask for the renewed copy- he is the one who brought it in 1 month after.
7. BC is close to Vegas ;) a rountrip flight can cost as low of $200CAD. ;)

Overall, I think the Western Provinces have more job opportunities for immigrants, esp those with work experience. They tend to find that it's easier to get a job more in line with what they had before. I think Ontario is overrated.
@pemyrie Thank you so much for your prompt reply and very well explained answer. I wonder if you could let me know about the living expances in victoria, BC and where to find affordable accommodation in Victoria or near by. Do you recommend buying a used car from BC or export one from different provinces? Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Good Day Everyone,
AOR-Jan 11, Outland, FSW, VO-Ottawa
I raised a webform 2 weeks ago where they said my eligibility was valid while the remaining two has not been initiated. Raised another two weeks later and got the response below.

We verified the information on file and can confirm that:
  • Your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification has not been initiated.
Seems not much progress has been made. Anyone else with similar status?

Hello,
Could someone who got CoPR tell us what is the expiry date for first landing?
Because most of us had our medical test in Dec2019. So is it somewhere around Dec 2020? Or have they extended the first landing time due to Covid situation?

@Hope2021 , I honestly have no idea what the living expenses are like in Victoria. I would recommend visiting Kijiji.ca to see what rent prices are like. I would buy the car locally-less hassle. My last car was actually bought on Facebook Marketplace and it runs well. All the best.

I had my profile updated on the portal with the approval message last night. It says that i cleared the eligibility and background on the 27th and a decision was made on the 2nd. I had a ghost update on the 28th prior to the approval. Yet to receive emails with the COPR document that the other folks here have mentioned. I'm a CEC candidate with Jan 10 AOR. Hope this helps.
