An IT-based PNP due to your husband’s credentials. Hope he scores gets CLB 9 in the IELTS.

Thank you so much for your reply, we will review this path. How long does it usually take for this application considering everything (all requirements) are ready for submission.

You have to wait to be selected and nominated by the province which can take a number of months. Then you have to wait for your PR application to be processed which right now is taking anywhere from 8 months to over a year.

Thank you so much. Also, with our line of work do we also have a chance to secure a job offer while outside Canada? We are actually looking for all possible ways (and fastest ways, if it permits) since we are hoping to move out SG before we reached 40 y/o. I understand that this might be far fetched with COVID19 thingy today but in general (or BAU) cases, would you say or anyone here can advise if it is possible?

Pretty unlikely for employers to be willing to go through LMIA and work permit process. Your husband likely has a better chance. It looks like you have good jobs in Singapore and likely a decent lifestyle. Coming to Canada at around 40 can be very tough career-wise. Some people take large steps back in their career. Is there a reason you want to move at this point in your lives? Realistically given covid and the recession you aren’t going to get PR quickly. What is your IELTS scores? Have you calculated your CRS scores? The fact that you both only have 1 degree with your age makes FSW impossible. You basically have to try for PNP.

Thank you so much for your feedback, basically the reason is family and having / raising a child. We never thought of leaving SG not until recently with a lot of changes in policies etc here. And so we decided to perhaps try our luck in Canada beating deadline (considering our age) but trying to be optimistic still. We have all our documents ready except for IELTS which we planned to take next couple of months.

Have you been to Canada done your research? Certainly drawbacks of living in Canada as well? Have you done IELTS? Calculated CRS score?

You should assume it won't be possible to find a job. Even pre-COVID--19, this was next to impossible to do. You should focus on immigrating without a job offer.
