18 MONTH PROGRAM.... LEADS TO 3 YEAR WORK PERMIT...... MAKE SURE U ARE TAKING ADMISSION IN GOV. COLLEGE OF CANADA.... WITH VALID DLI NUMBER......
Happy to be corrected but where do you see this then for a PG course other than a masters program or maybe accelerated study ? Maybe share the official link other than one below.

2 YEARS PROGRAM = 4 SEMESTERS
1 SEMESTER = 4 MONTHS
4 SEMESTERS... = 16 MONTHS PROGRAM
WHICH LEADS TO... 3 YEARS WORK PERMIT

1 SEMESTER = 4 MONTHS
2 SEMESTERS = 8 MONTHS PROGRAM
WHICH LEADS TO ..... 1 YEAR WORK PERMIT

MY FRIEND COMPLETED HIS STUDY FROM SENECA COLLEGE...... HIS PROGRAM IS OF 2 YEARS ( 4 SEMESTERS ) ( 16MONTHS) ND HE GOT WORK PERMIT OF 3 YEARS...................... I THINK U SHOULD SEARCH ON INTERNET LENGTH OF ONE SEMESTER

Your offer letter needs to mention it's a two year program to receive a three year work permit. Did your friend's offer letter mention two years or 18 months?
If the offer/completion letter says 18 months doesn’t matter how long or how many semesters there are. The course Offer/ completion letter needs to confirm a 2 year course as does the course prospectus
And you even say your friends program was a 2 year Program , so a 2 year pgm gets 3 years, an 18 month pgm gets 18 months unless the course specifically states it is a 2 year course.
Given the OP has not shared either the course or the college name there is not enough to go on other than the statement it is an 18 month course not a 2 year course
