Well TRV is considered for tourist purposes only. Right now there is no tourism in Canada. If you can still convince the agent they will issue u a visa but will be very hard due to COVID 19.

I was told by the Immigration ministers office that apply for TRP instead. They had rejected my wife’s TRV mostly due to employment as she never worked typical Pakistani house wife. My wife is pregnant and baby is due in late July. I had emailed the immigration minister and told him about my situation. That Government of Canada had issued travel advisories against all travel. It will be very bad situation if I cannot be there for the birth of my child.

Ministers office told me to apply for a TRP instead. I have very strong business financial and house paid off to show them I can afford the health care in Canada. I made a $25,000 bank draft on my wife’s name and $10,000 bank draft on hospitals name. TRP was issued!

TRP application is same as TRV just in the invitation letter I explained them that we are seeking a TRP not a TRV and I explained about my wife’s inadmissibility reason(no employment). Showed proof that I support her financially and due to personal & family reason she does not need to work.

All of this happened while my SPOUSAL Sponsorship application is at London Visa Office!

Paid Additional 100$ for second visa and 200$ for TRP. Just make sure to put the payment receipt of 200$ For TRP application with the visa application.

sorry to say this still its consider TRV and visa will not be issued....they say immediate family members but i have done my research its only for people who already had TRV issued to them and only accompanied by their Canadian spouses....

Brother you still have 6 months to reach the 1 year timeline. Be patient and wait for the good news. I am August 09, 2019 applicant, my file was moved to LVO on January 13 2020, and after that I didn't receive anything from them, even no AoR2. 14 weeks remaining but I can't do anything except waiting. So i suggest you to wait till the receipt of any update.
Brother so its possible to get my application done in next 6 months. Sometimes I have heard they dont send AOR2. or IRC sends electronic AOR2 to LVO

yes your'e right but i'm also right...i have tried applying for my husband's TRV whose PR application is still under process.....but according to Canadian Emergency Respond, CBSA, Canadian consulate in Pakistan and CIC call center.....its impossible to get TRV these days due to covid-19 and need to wait for proper PPR....

guys please do apply for TRV and let us all know if you get it...i'll be very happy to see it happening and may be it will give us all a hope too.....

TBH, Call Centres will only provide you with Generic information. They are also notoriously famous for giving misleading or incomplete information. You actually have to look up for information yourself via official sources. That's how I was also able to find out that Spousal Sponsorship applicants qualify for "Immediate Family Members" Exemption and can travel to canada even if their COPR's are issued after 18th March 2020.

It's possible to get TRV and last week, someone received TRV while their Spousal PR application was in progress. I believe they are part of facebook group.

You have to follow these steps after you have applied for TRV. Also note that even if you qualify, you still have to convince visa officer you can travel without any restriction.

Spousal cases usually takes 1 year time to finalize and the same is also mentioned on the website. Some lucky applicants get their Visa in 9 to 10 months and some wait for more than one year. In your case, only 6 months have passed as of now. So be patient and wait for the good news.

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question, I will be sponsoring my wife in Pakistan, is it mandatory to change her name on new ID card or just my name in place of her father will be sufficient ?

In TRV Application they are asking me to attach the upfront medical info, i wonder why they don’t take my PR Application’s info..I don’t have any upfront medical as i did while theY asked me to do during the process, so how to get rid off this??
