Mine expired on the 21st of April and the status of my Counterfoil shows "Expired". However, nothing else has changed in my account, it is still showing Approved. looks like they have not reopenned my file. I raised the Web-form on 11th of April informing I would not be able to travel and recieved generic response on the 21st like "We have received your enquiry concerning your Confirmation of Permanent Residence document that has expired or will soon expire. We are currently making additional verifications in order to respond to your request...". I have already raised 3 forms in total (one of the forms was sent to Warsaw). Shall I wait for another week?
Same here. COPR expired on 14th April. In account, the status is still approved but Counterfoil shows "Expired".

If you are able to land I am not sure an extension will ve granted from those traveling from the US. This will especially be the case if more businesses are open. You are not wanting to travel due to issues with your US status not Canadian status so not a reason for CIC if you are asked why you can't travel. Things are changing so quickly so who knows what the situation will be in June.
Sorry think the response was probably for @UsakaurB

Be careful. If you able to travel but would have to go into quarantine that doesn’t mean you can’t travel. There have been no clarification about people who can travel but don’t want to.
exactly. my question is exactly the same. The reason i dont want to travel, is because, we have to quarantine ourselves first for 14 days on our own expenses, later finding accomodation and job is going to be really difficult in such times, unless the situation improves. Dont intend to spend all my settlement funds into just surviving COVID19 in Canada. I was just wondering and mean no offence to anyone at all here, but i have seen so many people here are eager to travel to canada if flights re-open. Dont you guys worry about surviving there without jobs in such an uncertain situation, and are you all really okay with utilising your setllement funds already, or you all are just rich? Just wanted to know. cos i feel i am the only one here who does not want to travel so soon in june even if travel is allowed from india post 3rd may. hence im just curious. (asking all this very humbly, its very easy to misunderstand tone in text messages i know) just a query, cos my visa is expiring on June 6th. I live in India. Even if flights re open post lockdown, i certainly dont wish to travel so soon like in june, i definitely want an extension and so can travel later atleast when this is not at its peak. If i raise a webform now, will i get an extension or not? cos there's still time for it to expire. Have to resign from job, all that is left. I'm just so confused what to do.

Thanks a lot @Neha_khedekar, i am also in same situation where i have CoPR valid till July first week and passport expiring in mid August, Tickets Cancelled due to restrictions
I will also now go ahead with passport renewal in case passport offices open

Can you please help the 6 month passport expiry rule?
Thanks
see that completely depends on each country and their immigration officers, so i cannot comment on 6 month rule as i dont have proper information on that . hence i decided to go ahead with what is written in IRCC POE clause. here is the link. save it for future reference.
https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/resources/manuals/enf/enf04-eng.pdf

read clause 13.18- valid visas in expired passports.
you will be relieved.

I am one of those who eager to travel. I was not intending to start looking for a job straight away, as I am planning to study (I am enrolled to a program at a university), so it is in my interest to get there not later than September, because if I am late for semester, I will have to start looking for a job and, you are right, it will be quite difficult in such times. I am not rich, I have been saving money for 7 years to buy an appartment in my home country. I did not think of immigration, when I started saving. Now this money will go to Canada budget :) It is a long term investment to myself )))
Besides, I am traveling alone. It is easier compared to those who travel with kids - you would have to worry about your family all the time.

Just updating here if you have raised a webform for extension and your CoPR is expiring soon.

I called IRCC after listening to IVR for 30 mins and got a generic response that they are not able to view my application status as my VO is outside Canada. Agent also appreciated me for doing the right thing by raising the webform for CoPR extension. Agent also assured me that I will not be penalized if I am not able to travel to Canada within my CoPR validity in COVID19 situations. Other than this agent told me to wait and keep checking for any updates from IRCC as things are evolving. In short, agent was very supportive.
Your application was handled by an agent? Are u able to see ur profile?

Already IRCC has clarified that if an applicant is ready for travel they should inform them so that they can process his or her expired COPR. Hence, they are letting applicants take call based on their individual situations. So everyone should take call based on their situation. Simply flying to Canada out of panic and fear, risking your life, loosing time and money is not at all a good decision

International flights are not going to start before July or May be Aug.Becoz we know the consequences of allowing flights from foreign countries where situations are worse. So no q of anyone flying in June .But every one has their own reasons to go as soon as flight start provided we have got the extension.Like my son has got offer from university for sept intake.I would wish to go before that .I can not hang in uncertainty as this is his crucial year.He stopped preparing for Indian Engineering entrance exams as we were moving. Now he is just not able to concentrate in studies again with this uncertainty .I am afraid that his year will go waste if we dont reach before Sept. But at the last I need positive result even if its late..

Unfortunately think there is no way around having to do at least a short landing. Agree that travel from India is unlikely before the first week of June but unlimitted extensions are not going to be given out and covid is going to be present for a while. Who knows if 14 day quarantine will still be required. It may be for quite some time as a measure to stop the spread of the virus. One of the sacrifices if you want PR. Technically you could land without your family and you could sponsor them after you relocate if you want to save money on all your flights to Canada and back to do a safe landing.

Believe that international travel for those landing will start earlier than general tourism. At this point the situation in India is the bigger issue for applicants. Nobody can fly out.

Quarantine rules are till 30 June in Canada.Secondly they have not given definite numbers or criterias of extension.Did they say anywhere we will give ext only to limited applicants.Whatever policy is there will be applicable to everyone .They cant give it to one and deny to other just that timings may differ.

As of now not even pr are getting repatriated in the special flights.Even if they allow it will not come to copr holders. And ticket prices are way too high.
