In December i submitted my expression of interest for the express entry and i later received an message saying my profile was eligible and i was in the pool. This April i receive another message saying my profile is no longer eligible. I donot understand. Its the same information that's on the profile. I do not understand how 4 months later im now ineligible. How is this possible especially given the fact the last draws this April went as low as 300 CRP score and i have a score of 380.

Did you lose points due to your age that dropped you below 67 points under the FSW points scheme?

Which Express Entry draw went as low as 300?

No not at all. im 34 years now. Was 33 when i applied. There were two draws for Alberta this April with 300 CRP score.

Your language test results or your ECA may have expired.

It's also possible that part of your work experience might have expired.

Not easy for us to guess what it is unless your provide more details.

This user posted a lot more details, which made it easier to figure it out.

I wrote IELTS in Dec 2019 so it's not even up to a year old. for IELTS I had S=8.5, L=8, W=7, R=6.5. my work experience is not expired. I stopped work in 2014 and I'm currently doing my Ph.D. since 2015. I'm living and studying in Finland. all my certificates from secondary to Master have all been verified by WES in August 2019 so it's not up to a year and it's still valid. I even provided transcripts for my Ph.D. as I'm still to defend my Thesis. my highest qualification was my Masters which I mentioned. the Ph.D. was mentioned as an ongoing study. I have over the required amount in my account for a single person as I'm doing the application alone. I neither married nor have any children. I do not yet have a job offer or have not been nominated by a province in Canada which I mentioned in my application. So I'm confused.
I believe if I wasn't eligible, to begin with, my application would not been accepted in the express entry pool in December. then later in April, I received a message saying I am no longer eligible with the same information. that's where I need answers. why the change?

NOC; 4161
2009-2013: Master's program (2009 and 2010 not counted as work experience)
2011; Internship
2012: consultant
2013-2014 research assistant
2015-to date; at first in my original application I did not include this as work experience but I later updated my Ph.D. as work experience and added because at university we are considered as staff.

Okay, without the specific dates of all your work experiences I cannot conclusively say what the issues is.

What you need to be aware of (assuming you are trying to qualify for FSW):

1) You must have 1 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) in one NOC continuously.

2) You must have at least 67 points in the FSW point grid. Your CRS score of 380 sounds pretty low so that makes it more likely that you don't have 67 points.

The other thing I was thinking of is that POF requirements have been increased since you submitted your initial profile, so even though you may have had enough initially, you possibly no longer do. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...nada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html

October 2011- March 2012: intern with Center for international forestry research (CIFOR)
October – December 2012: consultant with CIFOR
March 2013 - February 2014: Gender Research Fellow with CIFOR
April - October 2014: Research Assistant with Bioversity International
October 2015- to date: doctoral student University of Eastern Finland.

for the POF I initially had 13000 or thereabout but not above 15 of bellow 13 dollars. I can't quite remember the exact amount.
for the CRS, I was surprised because two draws in Alberta this April took as low as 300CRS from the CIC News. https://www.cicnews.com/2020/04/alb...il&utm_campaign=newsletter-20200422#gs.4z5xa9.

concerning the FSW grid point. can I calculate that online? if yes can you be kind enough to share the link? Also assuming I want to reapply. I am to write the TEF this May if the Embassy approves with the Corona Crisis. is it possible to create another profile say next month given that from my last profile the profile expiry date is 29 Dec 2020?

I also read from the CIC help center that I can create another profile because technically the old one is invalid and I cant withdraw it. https://www.cicnews.com/2020/04/alb...il&utm_campaign=newsletter-20200422#gs.4z5xa9.

however, I tried creating another profile to no avail. when I create my GIC Key and click on continue to finish creating my profile, the page keeps redirecting me to the home page.

so if i succeed in creating a new profile, do i have to worry about the fact that i have two profiles or does the old one automatically becomes expired or do i have to wait till dec 2020 for the old one to expire before i create a new profile?

Okay. thank you very much for your time and patience to go through my long messages to provide clarifications and explanations. I am most grateful. do have nice weekend and stay safe
