Hello, i am currently being sponsored by my wife, i have an open work permit since november 2018, i am actually a selfemployed in construction.
Unfortunately as many people, due to this situation of covid 19 my wife is struggling with finances but she is not unemployed and i can not find any jobs right now, as a result i am not producing and the problem is that immigration took so long already with my process, i am not a permanent resident yet, i can not apply for any credit in any bank to support my wife financially, so i would like to know if i can apply for that cerb at least for a couple of months and not being affected negatively in my process, even if i have to repay i dont have a problem, i just want to support my wife to overcome this situation until i find a job and she gets more stable

If you meet the requirements for CERB, you can apply. It won't affect a sponsorship app.
