a Master's Program is expensive and there are few grants given to international students. I'm not saying its impossible- I'm just saying that grants? scholarships tend to be few and far between. What I would suggest is that you do an advanced diploma or a post grad diploma at the local College near where you are living. You would need to apply to change your status from visitor to student and show you have at least the 1st year tuition as well as your living expenses. Since you are living somewhere already it might be a good idea to include a letter signed by your Aunt where she verifies that she will allow you to live with her and will cover your daily living expenses.
You will need to show a bank balance of at least $25,000 for a study permit to be approved - possibly more depending on your tuition. Do you have this level of funds available?
Not really man. You gotta pay to play. Thats how it is, you spend a lot of money but you get a world class education, a network, a guaranteed PR (if you graduate) and most likely a job. It won't come for free though. If you do a diploma then yeah its cheap but you won't get any of those things.
Note that even if you are living with someone, IRCC will expect you to show you have funds available to pay for your living expenses in order for the study permit to be approved. The minimum to show in a bank account is first year tuition + 10,000 to cover living expenses. If you don't have the extra 10,000 then you can try showing a letter saying you will live with your aunt however the chances of approval will be extremely low.
Be careful about your situation.
How long was your visa stay granted? Have you overstayed?
Ensure that your situation is regular, because i'm not convinced IRCC will view your situation favourably if you're here longer than your visa period just because of the outbreak.
As as far as i know, there are still flights out of the country. So does the travel ban in the Philippines apply to citizens wishing to return as well? If not, then you are able to return.

Yes, I understand your concern thank you! No, I have not overstayed. I applied before my 6th month's up I explained how my flight was cancelled via EVA Air and how i'm scared to rebook a flight now and fly because of the virus, since going on the airport and on an airplane heightens the risk of me catching and spreading it with my loved ones back home since I live with a lot of relatives and do not have the means to book a hotel and quarantine myself for 14 days.
I was really keen on going home before the outbreak because I've read that I have more options to immigrate to Canada when I apply from my home country than stay as a tourist in here, but the outbreak happened and my city back home is also now on Enhanced Community Quarantine.
This is also why I signed up for this forum to see if I have other options immigrating or changing my visa while in the country as a tourist. Thank you again for all your inputs!
Too bad, I did not come from money. I would love to actually get my Masters degree here but since it is expensive. Will put a hold on it and try to work on my immigrating to the country first. Thank you for the insight!

Yes, it's important to be careful because IRCC can be very strict with the way they apply the rules, and you don't want to risk their ire.
In all honesty, it is easier for you to apply from outside Canada directly as a permanent resident than to change your status within Canada.
You should see if you can obtain 67 out 100 points for eligibility for the federal skilled workers program and then try to calculate your CRS.
You're in IT, which is always in demand in provinces like Ontario, so you can always look at PNP. I'd also look into the cost of a one year post-graduate diploma, you might just be able to swing it. You can then get a post-graduate work permit, by the time you accumulate all the bonuses for Canadian education and work experience, you'll have a lot of additional points for express entry. And as you said, you can save a lot by living with your relatives.

Current status for my Tourist Visa Extension is just "Submitted" No update so far. I'm assuming it'll take more time than usual before I get an update because of the current situation?
If my approximate calculation is correct I am at 72 out of 100. The "CRS" I have no clue about yet.
I have heard that it will be easier to look into other provinces than in BC but I don't have a relative in other provinces sadly. Thank you so much! I would look into it.
You need to calculate your CRS points. This is what will determine what your chances are of being selected for PR under Express Entry.
