The problem is we take and assume everything according to our convenience.
My brother in law is a CAN Citizen. His close friend is a BAR council member in Montreal
He was told that taking people or inviting from overseas has had a strict pause
The epidemic is killing thousands over there and no one is really interested to bring in people there
IRCC is very gentle in replying cos they do not wanna flood their twitter inbox if they reveal everything
Plus tooooooo much lay offs out there
The BAR council is a prominent body in shaping or modifying bills passed
A member of the body has said at the moment they primarily provide these immigration benefits only to ppl out there
Now will you say even this is fake?
Do you logically believe inviting people amid massive layoffs
Plus the US Canada's prime trading partner has taken a massive hit economically.
The news article in the TorontoSun journal is damn true
If you still deny, then better be day dreaming buddy
Hi,
So does it mean that likely there won't be a draw for FWS anytime soon?

While I agree that we tend to perceive things per our own convenience, I hardly believe anything that states one's opinion or something which starts with "he was told" in a newspaper or through high-up connection.

Canada's death toll is 187.

Maybe, and maybe not. No1 knows for fact whether they're deceiving us or really intending to proceed with EE draws.

They don't owe us anything and can do whatever they see fit for their country. They could publicly announce the temporary suspension of the program had they decided to.

Canada's deaths toll is 187. My deep condolences to any1 affected. My own family in USA contracted the virus and one far family member lost his grandfather 2 days ago. I'm not treating deaths as number I'm simply providing true figures.

Exactly. At the moment, not only the government bodies but even the people out there are also against bringing or even inviting people at the moment. I guess IRCC is just working (from home obviously) to clear as many backlogs as they have and then maybe start everything fresh once the situation eases out. But again, there is no guarantee as to when they will resume inviting people or issuing PRs.

One thing is certain, if no draw on April 8, then no draws until the epidemic is under control. The same is the case with NZ (that follows the same pattern of inviting people) which has suspended everything in terms of immigration.

So learn something valuable in this time and the skills that are in demand. And most importantly have a strong back up. Don't be completely reliant on this.|

The economy of both US and CAN is devastated. All the state funds are being disbursed and economically both the nations are in a bad state.

So man, no one can predict when everything is one. 2017, 18 and the early 19 are the golden days of immigrating to Canada

So you expect us to believe your brothers friend who is Bar or a friend to Trudeau and discard what Ircc clearly stated on their Twitter handle. Funny enough you are the one that believes and assumes things. Don't come here with any trash your brother was told as long as he is not the one handling Ircc Twitter page

The IEC holiday and parents guardian sponsorship were suspended and they informed us of that so i think it will be best for us to be informed if they also decided to suspend the FSW stream. People invested huge money in this process and we deserve some regards . Keeping people in the dark and with immense uncertainty is inhuman.

That's exactly what I implied. They have nothing to lose or to be concerned of should they explicitly announce the suspension of EE draws.
It's unlikely that they posted deceiving Tweets.
I believe it will continue, based on their statements. Not based on som1 who "was told"

This is the problem. If you think it is trash, then better keep thinking about what you have been thinking. If a person in the government body is telling something and if I cascade the exact information, believing or not is up to individuals.
I'm not enforcing this or persuading people into something else.
More than the information, you are the best trash.
Mind your words.
If you are hopeful, can you tell me why it has been a month since a FSW draw took place (apart from CEC and PNPs). If truth sounds hard to you, then better stay off track.
What is said it true and believing or not believing is up to one's education standard or good morality.

Real mature of you to spread information that could be false and misleading and that has not been officially published. This could be detrimental to the mental health of other users and dissuade them from being positive for the chance of a upcoming draw. This is purely speculation from your side and contributes nothing productive the forum

EXACTLY!

I've been saying this for the last 2 weeks: if IRCC had any official plans to stop FSW immigration, they would have stated that publicly. They already confirmed the Parental Sponsor program will be halted for now, and also announce other official measures, such as delay on Student Visas. So, if they really intended on halting FSW candidates from the EE process, why wouldn't they inform us?

100%. So, anyone who is concerned here, ignore all the rumors being posted, and focus only on what IRCC says.

Follow the official communication, and let's wait to see what happens around 8 April.

How can a responsible person associated or “inside government body” can broadcast information to a brother’s friend’s mate’s guy?

Trust only information coming from IRCC platforms (website, social media accounts)

in my opinion guys with low CRS demotivate smarter fellas just to keep them out of pool ;) ;) ;) ;)

As far as I know, only age gets locked at ITA, if your ECA or IELTS expires before AOR, your application will be returned as incomplete. Not sure if expired ECA or IELTS will be allowed due to the current situation.
