Hi Folks,
I waited long enough and now I couldn't hold myself furthermore and now I would like to share my experience with you and explain why I consider its not worth to come to Canada to study.
I came to Canada in year 2015, I completed diploma in Computer Engineering from my home town in India and then I decided that I can come to Canada as a student and then potentially become Canadian PR.
I finished my 2 year diploma course in Ontario, I didn't score well in my academics but was fortunate enough to get my fist Canadian full-time job right after the end of my final exam.
From there I worked my skills up and secured a position in a well-known company.
I was eligible to create express entry profile after working full-time for one year but the my CRS was not enough for cutoff, I though with an additional year of work experience I can make it by checking out crs calculator.
I waited for another year of my 3-year post graduate work-permit and then now I less than 6 months left on my work-permit.
Presently my CRS score now sits at 451 after getting 7.5 overall in IELTS (Listening: 8.5, Reading 8.5, Speaking: 7 and Writing: 6.5)
I appeared for IELTS more than 15 times but the max score I can get it 8.5 in all LRS and only 6.5 in writing.
I am so frustrated that I dont know now what should I do next as I basically wasted 5 years of my life and still I am not stable.
On the other side I do hear a lot of stories that people from other countries are immigrating to Canada with fake work experience and paid band score in IELTS.
With this in mind, do you guys still think that its still worth to come to Canada and pay 1.5x fees in tuition? Definitely not.
In addition, if your work-permit expires you cannot apply for extension, only your employer can do that with that being said not all employers do that because of the amount of documentation and cost to hire a lawyer.
Simply I would recommend any one who finished 12th and/or holds a diploma and plans to come to Canada, PLEASE RECONSIDER.
On the other hand you can try NewZeaLand where you can apply for your work-permit extension by yourself as well.
