They also said exceptions are there , like those people are allowed who have family members or immediate family members in canada @bassi4
That;s right, they didn't say anything about spouses, PR spouses will be allowed entry. It's their right. Boarder is closed to Visitors, federal workers, students and so forth. not Spouses. if this was the case, that would be a legal rights issue. Also, they might limit spouses from countries that have high exposure to the virus, such as italy, iran and china.

Please read this article by daily hive;

https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/canada-border-closed-coronavirus

"
The country is closing its borders to anyone who’s not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Starting at noon Eastern Time on Wednesday, March 18, foreign nationals will not be allowed to board flights to Canada, federal public health officials said. There will be exceptions, such as Canadian citizens’ immediate family, airline workers, travelers with a layover in Canada, and diplomats."

don't panic! we will be allowed entry! stay safe, practice proper hygine and take care of your self.

Entry will be denied if you are a citizen/PR but also experiencing Symptoms of the virus! and once you enter, you should self-isolate for 14 days even if yuo are not showing symptoms when you land since the virus has an incubation period of 3 to 14 days!!! follow the rules, and help flatten the curve of this growing virus spread!

Guys anyone planning to travel this week or next week? Are they allowing Spousal sponsorship to land?
yes, immediate family and relatives "such as Canadian citizens’ immediate family, airline workers, travelers with a layover in Canada, and diplomats " will be allowed entry. however, if they show symptoms, they will be denied. even if they are Canadian citizens. please self isolate for 14 days after landing even if you are not showing symptoms. the spread of this virus needs to decrease!

I believe so, but you might want to check with someone from immigration office before. I wouldn't think it would be different for PR and sponsoring PR spouses as it's their immediate family. This is so new, and there are lots of loop holes to this. It is changing by the hour. Best would be to keep checking for updates and call IRRC for clarification.

I just talked with CIC here in Canada. They are not sure yet. They asked me to call back tomorrow and also to check with local VAC in India
