Hello Everyone,
I have a major question for the members of the group such as I just have visa rejection of the tourist visa of my cousin's family. As the visa was applied last week on Feb 27th and received a decision from the visa officer on March 06th, 2020. I am surprised to hear the decision from the embassy located in Bengaluru, India. How does it make sense to give a decision in a week's time which was the paper application?

I personally, feel that they haven't read the file and SOP clearly and gave their random decision. Is there any way that we can file an appeal to know what is exact issue?

I appreciate your responses. Kindly, help me out.

Awaiting for your reply.

Thank you,

Farhan

Hi,
I fully understand your frustration however I don't think you can appeal the officier decision.

No, you can't appeal.

You can request for GCMS notes from Canada. It takes about a month, but you can see the visa officer's analysis.

Official processing time for visa applications is 11 days, however that includes the time for printing of visa as well. My dad had applied for a tourist visa and his was approved within 4 days, printing of visa took another 4 days. So, total 8 days.

All officer's go through the file carefully and take a decision that they feel that is in the best interest of their country. It is not true that their decision was a random one. They do give reasons when they handout rejections.

You should consider the reason for rejection and apply for a visa again while countering those rejection reasons. You may order GCMS notes that will give you a full picture.

Also, there is no appeal process, if you want the visa, you will have to apply again.
