Yes, VO needs to know how they were managing with child care. This would give them a better picture of why the caregiver is needed

I did not. The latest they requested was the kids' birth certificate.. i included a letter explaining to them that I really hope that the caregiver can be here ASAP as we really need her for child care and I included some specifics explaining our situation.. hopefully, that will make things faster. Lol

They requested on 17/01/2020 and got medical and biometric request on 20/02/2020.. u can see spreadsheet..

How would one demonstrate that he/she is capable of performing the duties? Education alone is not sufficient to prove this, applicant should show the previous employer reference letters, contracts and this can only be done if one has at-least a year of experience obviously more is better.

Be mindful that the decision is solely the discretion of the VO and the goal is to prove the VO that you are capable of performing duties. Just be practical her for one minute and think that would hire anyone who has zero experience in the felid

I had an applicant came to me few months ago and his visa was denied because the VO thought the applicant has not enough experience to demonstrate that she is capable of performing the duties.
Now, when there is no work experience requirement written in the guidelines, why does VO denied her application on the bases of lack of experience? was the VO wrong? No he was not wrong, applicant was refused right after the interview.

You see it is not about previous experience, VO should be able to feel that person will be to carry out these duties. If you see in Canada they give some lessons to expecting mothers before handing over baby to them.. they don't want mothers to have previous child care experience. All they do is give some education on child care and some practical sessions. Child care is not rocket science but applicant shouldn't be naive. Any education regarding caregiver or practical experience should be sufficient.

Congratulations. This is very good news. Good to know that people are actually being approved for the work permit. Thank you for sharing this news with the forum.
This pre arrival invitation; is this what you will be travelling to Canada with or will there be another letter of invitation?
Because the website says, the work permit will be issued by an immigrations officer at the port of entry after inspecting your documents.
