Changing passport

Hello!
I currently have a valid study permit and resident visa, however they are valid until my passport expires next year. Because I am a student I wanted to renew my passport back in my home country when I go home this summer. I wanted to know if there would be any problems if I were to renew my passport (and probably get a new passport number) while I still have a study permit and TRV with my current (soon to be old) passport number?

1. You would need to carry the old passport with the TRV in it, and your new passport as well. If you government keeps the old passport, you would have to apply for a new TRV.
