In the profile, they consider the 1st of the month. But it is your responsibility to make sure that the time period is completed with the exact dates.
For example, if you have a job from 12th June 2017 till 5th August 2017, the system will calculate it to be 3 months going by the month, but in real it is 2 months as per the dates.
