Usually, they would set a deadline in 6 months for almost all the cases. (I hate to tell you this but it was the case with my application.) If you have ordered GCMS notes, the deadline is written somewhere in your 250+ pages notes (if you are under SS).

And my ss started at the end of June and a deadline was set at the end of Dec. I regarded it as a good sign as well but it didn't turn out to be the case. I called IRCC and asked about this deadline. A representative told me that it didn't really mean anything. The deadline means an agent will review your case around the time of the deadline, but there is no certain answer regarding the time of SS.

But, luckily, according to my own experience and so many others in this thread, SS can be finalized within 6-8 months in 2019. ( 7 months for my case)

So keep waiting for the good news, be patient. Don't make it a too big deal so that it will ruin your life (easier said than done, I know).

Good luck and hope the above helps.
Thank you so much for your inputs. I received a Ghost Update this morning. I hope some good news are coming "fingers crossed"

Congratulations for your update,
One question, can you see your uploaded document in your GCKey account when you click on the bluish line mentioning "View submitted application or upload documents" ?
it's weird because it doesn't show my uploaded CV at all. I mean I can not see my uploaded CV under the "Documents uploaded by the client" field. There is simply nothing there !

Oh, for me nothing is showed there. It's strange..
In fact, I also had difficulty to upload it, I think it was some kind of technical issues in that time as the upload button was not showing up. But after many tries at different hours then suddenly it became visible and I uploaded my CV immediately. After all, the status changed to "We are reviewing your uploaded additional document" but still I can not see my uploaded document in my GCKey account.

Probably you should contact IRCC, usually, when you upload a document, it should be in the uploaded documents list. At least the name should be there.

I got my CBSA note today after 60 days it’s 100 pages , I’m under comprehesive security screening since August , funny thing is my complication date was on June 2019 and start security after two month !
is there any deadline in the note ?? Is it good that they didn’t send the application to CSIS ?

The same for me
I just had a call with CIC , she informed me that Security started on 5 December and they have a deadline set to 5 May (6 months),
I don't know if SS always take 6 months or maybe even more or less , but it's confirmed , I'm in SS :/
You mentioned that your status has remained as "We are reviewing your uploaded documents", and never changed to N/A, right?
Also, how many ghost updates did you have totally?

Usually, they would send your case to CSIS as a normal procedure for ss. It could be "they haven't sent your application to CSIS", but eventually, they will. This way, I don't think it is a good sign, because you will have to wait longer.

But it's hard to say. Good luck anyway. The average processing time for SS is 6-8 months in recent days.

Question for those of you who've ordered CSIS notes,
I got mine yesterday,
it has three section,

SSRN Details: mentions that status is completed and that request date as may 22nd 2019,
Case Conclusion: mentions personal info and also the request date which is the same,
Recommendation/Advice: which has one field: Issued on: 2019-09-08.

Does this mean my security screening was started on may 22nd and finished on Sept. 8th?

Now my account received an update on Jan 22nd and when I called I was told that the security screening just finished.
Was it the CBSA that was holding on to my account from Sept to January?
wtf?
why?

Thanks for reply , I though they don’t send all SS to CSIS , anyway is there anyway to know if they going to send it to CSIS or not ? and when ?
if I call CIC can I find out the deadline for Ss ? Thanks
