Hello,

My wife has got her PCC from Philippines (NBI clearance). We are a bit confused. On CIC website it mentions ''Your certificate must have a thumbprint and include a dry seal'' Her's does not have any of the two. It only has a barcode & QR code at the bottom. Has anything changed lately or has anyone submitted this kind of format ? Any help appreciated.

Hi, I got my NBI clearance July 2019. It bears the thumbprint beside the QR code. The dry seal should also be included on the first copy as two copies were released, making the second as your personal copy.

Thank you so much. Both her copies dont have fingerprint or dry seal. If it helps, she does not reside there and got it from her embassy in her country of current residence. Will this be a problem as CIC specifically is asking for this & dont want any problems.

It was prolly due to the fact that she doesn’t reside in the Philippines, but I’m really not certain about this matter. Were her fingerprints taken? I suggest you clarify this situation with the Phil embassy or NBI itself as not to jeopardize your application.

Thank you. Unfortunately, she advised Philippines embassy here do not respond to emails or calls. We will try mailing NBI & hope for the best.

You’re welcome, and yes try to contact NBI and clarify prior to submitting your application. All the best!
