Super Visa - Medical Test passed

I have applied online for Super Visa for my mom (Syrian lives in UAE) and currently waiting for passport request !
How long it takes to hear back ? since medical result passed on Aug 02, 2019

Hard to tell but you should hear relatively soon. There is still quite a risk that it may be denied given her Syrian nationality and the high chances of her claiming asylum.

Hello there,

I know this is an old post, but I was wondering if your mother got the super visa eventually?

We are also Syrians and are newly landed immigrants and we currently meet the requirements for the Super Visa. I just had a baby and I would really love to get my parents to come and visit (to see the baby and give me some much needed help) . They are both Syrians but they live in Qatar (have been living there for the past 30 years).
What was your experience like? Do you know of other Syrians that were granted the super visa recently?

Hi, Yes she finally got her super visa after almost 7 months processing time including from application submission till visa stamped.
Having a residency visa in Qatar could be an advantage (my mom has UAE’s residency) coz they need to show both financial and family tie in Qatar so they are coming back after visiting Canada ..

Would you mind sharing what kind of evidence you provided to show strong ties in UAE/ Syria and proof that she is going back after visiting?

My father works in Qatar and has a government job and my mom doesn't work. But my sister and her husband also live in Qatar with their 2 girls. Will that be considered strong ties in Qatar also? Would appreciate any information that could help me put a strong application for them.

A property title deed, bank statement showing decent balance, employer letter showing the gratuity till date ..
I strongly recommend a cover letter for the application to explain more about the purpose of visit and how important for parents to visit their children and spend lovely times with their grandchildren.
And of course a life insurance policy for one year must be submitted along with the application.

One more thing, is the property your mom owns in UAE? My parents own property only in Syria and I'm not sure if that will help?

Also, did your mother mention that she will be staying more than 6 months in the application? I mean is it mandatory that they specify a duration longer than 6 months for the visit if they are applying for Super Visa? My father can't stay that long due to work commitments but I still want to apply for Super Visa as I understand it has better acceptance rate

Also, would you kindly share the text the text of the invitation letter and the cover letter you submitted with your application? That would really help if you could ..

lThe issue isn’t that you have to show that your mother has residency status in Qatar. The longer they can prove that they can stay in Qatar the better. Does your father need Yonge employed to get their residency status? CIC will know this but I am not familiar with the rules of every middle eastern country. Will their son-in-law be able to secure permanent residency status in Qatar once your father retires. Property in Syria will not really help until Syria returns to a more stable country and stay that way for a while.
