I have received my GCMS note on 06-January-2020 (Generated on 06-December-2019). According to the GCMS note, the new status of the application is "Ready For PS" since 17-OCT-2019 (Eligibility pass date). what does it mean?

Current status (06-December-2019):
AR:
01-March-2019
AOR: 28-April-2019
Eligibility: Passed

I haven't gotten any ghost update yet.

Please help me to understand this status.

@legalfalcon can you please help me on following scenario -
I got the Roles and Responsibility (R&R) letter from HR of ex-employer . But in-spite of requesting HR to include the name of Reporting Manager, Weekly Working hours , Annual Salary and Contact and mail details of HR person signing the document, they did not included these things on the letter. They Just wrote the words "Permanent employee of ....." .
Do such letter will solve purpose of IRCC to clear my file?

I just received my GCMS notes and it says Review Required: Review job descriptions and NOC lead statement.

@legalfalcon

I have been a silent reader and in EE waiting over 6 months. My AOR: May 22nd (VO Ottawa). I just realized that we made a mistake while filling out the forms in EE profile. Under 'Personal details' there was a question:'Have I applied to IRCC before?', for which I answered 'no'. I initially thought they were referring to previous PR applications and hence said no, while I had got a visitor visa previously approved and actually submitted the passport pages showing the stamped visitor visa in the PR application. So, though we had no intention of misrepresenting/hiding this information, we are worried that it could be seen so. So, we have explained this in a webform to them immediately (today) and not sure how this might affect our chances. I know it was dumb of us to realize this so late into the application process. If you have any suggestions on what else could be done to make sure this does not become an issue, it would be helpful.
AOR: May 22nd
The last time we called IRCC (Nov 22nd), they said criminality passed, eligibility under review and security not started.

@legalfalcon
We called IRCC today and the agent was kind enough to tell us that the eligibility is still under review. He said there were minor verification on the issue explained in the first thread. We have sent in a webform explaining the mistake we did and were hoping that it would not cause an issue. We are still waiting for GCMS notes. Though the agent said these were minor checks and nothing major, we are worried that this could be taken as an intentional misrepresentation. Please let us know your suggestions on what else could be done.

Your error is not an issue. You need to understand that misrepresentation only happens when you conceal material facts. Your answer that you have not applied before is immaterial for the purpose of your application since IRCC already has your previous application details and you have since corrected it too.

It is just a matter of time. No need to worry.

If your JDs and NOC do not match you can surely send a revised work reference letter via CSE and request for it to be considered.

No, as per IRCC your work reference letter has to include the following:

a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits

If your work reference letter does not have all the above, then you can add additional documents to meet the requirements. Such as, a work reference letter from a colleague, supervisor to show your JDs etc.

Your salary statement, paystubs etc.

Hi @legalfalcon,

I would really appreciate your quick thoughts and suggestions regarding my job duties letter. I worked for a company from April 2010 to August 2011 (long time ago!). They have given me a reference letter stating all the required information EXCEPT the job duties. Instead, they have written that "This is to notify that the roles and responsibilities for this position cannot be currently verified since the said position is no longer in existence at the Company and his reporting officer is no longer employed with the Company."

This role is not my primary NOC, and I have no way of contacting any colleague/supervisors since this was a long time ago and I have no idea where they are or what they do.

Would the explanation provided by the company work for IRCC? What could I do to mitigate any negative effects of being unable to provide job duties?

Thanks so much for your advice and help! Appreciate your feedback!

Hi @legalfalcon

I called IRCC Canada once and raise webform once to CPC Ottawa just to know that my file is with Singapore. So later I raised webform again with Singapore after a week & send them a mail too in order to know my current status. Later I called Ircc Canada to know when my file was transferred to Singapore. I did all of this within 60 days to 90 days post-AOR.

Now, can this frequent followup within a month create doubts in the mind of the VO? or can my application suffer extra verification? pls advise sir.

@legalfalcon Please help! I applied for PR as legally separated, got divorced in the meanwhile and updated CIC through a webform and received an acknowledgment too. My issue is: I just received my COPR, and it still says separated. While I was planning to get it corrected at landing, some others advised the mailing VO office which I did. I have my tickets done, and my classes start soon. I was planning to start the sponsorship of my non-accompanying child as soon as I land. Please help! Is it fine to get this corrected at landing since as legally separated my ex was already excluded from the application and I had notified of final divorce back in November itself? Will landing as separated affect my sponsorship of child application?

Please help!
Thank you!

You have to provide the job duties, or some documentation to prove that you worked in that role with the JDs. The easiest way is to get a letter from someone you know, your former colleague, supervisor etc.

If you cannot get one, then you can explain it by providing your offer letter which has the job duties and a very strong LoE.

You can call, send emails as often as you like. However, be advised that it takes 6 months to process an application. So be patient.
