Dear Forum members,

My mother arrived today for the 2nd time on her multiple supervisa which is expiring in 2027. I just checked her passport and found that CBSA crossed it with red marker. Does it mean they cancelled the visa. It's really disturbing and I don't understand how should I persue with this.
Is there anyone who has similar experience? Should I call CBSA or IRCC?
I appreciate your responses in advance.

What was the conversation at the border when she arrived with CBSA? Did they say anything to her or ask her any questions?

How long was she in her home country between trips and how long was her first visit to Canada?

Her first trip on supervisa was 6 months and she returned after 3 months to stay with me for another 5/6 months. Even before that she visited me multiple times for 5/6 months on her regular visitor's visa.
They asked her standard questions like about my city of residence and job and another question was about her stay duration during this visit.
They should have at least told her or given some paper or anything when marking the visa.
What do you suggest in this situation?

If the visa has been marked, it's been cancelled. Did they give a stamp or other written notation saying when she has to leave?

How many months per year has she been spending in Canada and for how long? Is she still maintaining a home in her home country?

How about you post a timeline of visits she made, lengths of visits , how long she returned home before she returned back here for another visit
Include visits BEFORE the Supervisa was issued as well

No they neither stamped or gave any verbal/written nor notified her verbally when to leave. Infact my mother told him she will be returning after months.

6 months each visit. This time only she was coming with three months gaps only.
Yes she is maintaining a home there. Our ancestral family home is there. We have agricultural land which my mother is managing. My siblings are there.

Before supervisa she would stayed sometimes for 3/4 months, some for 6 months and one time she did stay for 8 months but I got her visitor status extended.
She stayed for six months on her first supervisa entry until October last year and then she came yesterday after 3 months gaps.

You can try both if you want, although I would say more of IRCC to confirm that the visa was cancelled, and I believe it would also state the CBSA officer's rationale for the cancellation.
@bellaluna
Right on. I just started the application. What do you suggest should I select under the type of record requesting from IRCC? There are multiple options but I see the appropriate ones are either "Temporary residence" or "Authorization to return to Canada". Which one should I select?
And sir, I really appreciate you for putting me in this direction.

I don't want to simulate the entire form right now, but I would guess it's "temporary residence" rather than the latter.
I would say you're asking for the status of the super visa itself, so look for the options that will fit a temporary resident visa application.

And sir, I really appreciate you for putting me in this direction.
This is Canada in 2020; please don't assume genders for me or anyone else if you're not sure.

If you have a gckey account, you should be able to see the validity of the document (visa) by logging in. No GCMS notes needed to see if it's still valid.

Is this a red line throughout the entirety of the visa, or just a small part? There is a chance it could be just the pen they use to mark the primary inspection kiosk receipts, if the receipt was inside the passport.
