Exactly! My friend applied after me, his wife is from India. Process completed in three months.
Canada and India have a partnership agreement , so I think it’s easier to share information , get information etc. Now I’m not saying that it’s fair , I’m just saying what I read . It is super fast sometimes faster than an applicant from USA . Makes no sense to me either

A miracle of xmas, we found another flight on 26th... a short visit until jan 2nd but is better than nothing.;) she offers me it as want us to see a little, is a big effort from this kind of country. If it was necessary to get extra proof of genuine for IRCC when your wife is paying you a 2nd flight date when a missed connection just happened.... what else could it be. Im soo happy
Was it your fault you missed the connection or your original flight was delayed? Usually in that case the airline moves you to the next flight free of charge. That has happened to me two times. The plane landed late and the bumped me to the next flight.

Been a serie of issues in this... short connexion they departed without calling me and the most stupid assumed i was in the plane and made my luggage travel.... that part been solved by air canada fortunately but with them next flight was ... 23 or 25th nothing in between. So i have an open ticket for a year.

first thing to ask - was it a legal connection? Under IATA rules any international connection requires a minimum of one hour and if you were allowed to book with less that time the airline is on the hook, regardless of how the ticket was purchased. Domestic flights have a minimum half hour connection time.

Congratulations that’s incredible news home for Christmas . My wife/son are also from Cuba we are November 15/18 applicants and still waiting . Hoping we get the same positive news soon also .
thank you - you should be receiving news soon as IRCC lost our application for three months and so we were delayed.

on the other hand the process seems to be getting slower for Cubans. Who knows?

We are still pleasantly surprised how nice Immigration was in Toronto

Just a note, I sent the info to two email addresses in Mexico. the one you mention above and the one on the IRCC website for Mexico enquiries - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/offices/international-visa-offices/mexico-city.html.

I got a response the next day from the second one saying they received our info and would forward to the appropriate department right away. So that might be a better one to use in the future. Much faster than 8 - 10 days. :)

The courier delivered docs today just before 10 a.m., so a few days late thanks to the CR postal courier system not working properly!
mxico@international.gc.ca

That was the email you used?

Yikes!! Doesn't compare well, Mexico VO is very over-worked and processes visas for 9 countries so really there is no comparison to Mississauga. But at least it's there now. Once we got the email that it was being transferred to Mexico VO it took 25 days for them to start working on it and since then we have had two ADRs and still waiting for PPR which we hope is next. Nothing we can do but wait....

We never got AOR2 either, just ecas said "we started processing your application on Oct. 28th" so I knew they started working on it. Not sure what "nothing asked so far" means - are you saying that you haven't been asked for ADRs ... good, lucky you! Not everyone does have to provide more info but some do, just saying how our application went to help Frisbee2017 compare to Mississauga office.
