Thought there is some hope for ppl from third world nations such as India, PAK, Srilanka and so on, but it seems that sun shines bright only for those US H1B dudes , who obviously have a good life and now moving to Canada. Same applies to guys who completed studies in Canada
Anyways, Dudes below 440 - No option apart from PNP or a job offer
Dudes in the 450 to 460, try to max out IELTS or get a job offer
460 to 470 can expect some miracle at least in the next 2 months. And above 465, pls do not annoy others asking if you guys have a chance to get ITA.
Also, be prepared for the worst or try other countries welcoming ppl such as NZ, AUS
You on something? NZ, Aus inviting people really? Just letting you know so many people have shelled out a lot more bucks studying there and finally they returned home empty handed. How about that?

This is gonna be my last visit and last post on any Ray of Hope thread till I get my ITA in 2020 by Gods grace.

Will be entering pool in a few weeks with 471 as things stand or 474 if i max out ielts.

But truth of the matter folks is : this forum does nothing but promote anxiety fear and worry. I didnt have any worries or stress about PR till I started checking canada visa threads. Therefore, I am taking the right move for my well being and staying clear . I recommend you all to do the same. Worrying and stressing is not gonna make IRCC change whatever they have set out to do.

Adios and good luck folks !

I am now in pool at CRS470 with CLB 10,10,10,7(speaking).

I screwed up speaking since I was too nervous talking to a computer(CELPIP).
I thought 470 should be sufficient but obviously thats not the case.
I will retake the test again, hopefully I can max it to CRS 499.

I've been following this thread for couple of months and wish to give my 2 cents

1) Please don't predict CRS or draws happening based on previous years, there is no correlation between past events and what's gonna happen.
2) I've lived in Canada for 5+ years and know how the Govt works, no one cares about pushing score up/country of origin of ppl coming in/how skilled they are etc. etc. (they r much more bothered abt holiday plans)
This draw is a lottery and is run one, CRS score depends only on applications received. If tomorrow, due to some reason they receive 5000 applications with 500 score then CRS will change accordingly
3) Liberals may have won the election but they lost majority and there's a lot of bad press regarding easy immigration policies, I believe there will be much stricter rules for EE with more regulation (doesn't mean reduction in numbers)
4) GTA is completely overrun with new immigrants and this results in less jobs, expensive housing etc. Expect more provincial nominations as several ministers have voiced the need to populate provinces other than Ontario
5) Lastly, this is the Ray of Hope but don't let it become ray of 'false' hope. Keep working on increasing scores by any means possible if u are really motivated to come. The scores will follow only upward trend due to geo-political issues. One of our members always reminded us to facethereality but he faced a lot of ridicule from others which was really funny considering he was right all along

Lastly, Canada is not obligated to anyone to give them PR, EE is prob the most lenient & easy immigration policies in any developed country. Don't expect transparency or 'service', work with what u have

Peace out!

Ok I read your 2 posts and just to clarify some things to you I'll explain quickly how this works....

I'm in NZ at the moment, have friends in AU and getting the PR here is very VERY difficult, Canada is way more easy and have less restrictions in general terms. Then, everybody has specific reasons why some things are better here or there and so... it's more a personal choice. Because of your post I can tell you may have not travel much (which is perfectly OK) but once you go to Canada you'll see people from around the world, not just third world countries... people from the UK, US, Europe, etc etc are also in Camada and AU and NZ because everybody wants something different in life, not just "escape" from a poor nation. I've met a lot of people from the UK here and they came and did all the PR process just because they like the "beach, relaxing life" NZ offers for instance. You might judge the decisions others take based on your own experience but trust me, people migrate for simple reasons as well (sometimes too simple to understand to be honest).

So, to conclude, YES, people from 1st world nations also want to go to Canada and they have really good profiles we need to compete with. Also, Canada has maybe the easiest immigration path all over the world and it makes it very attractive to a lot of people.

Cheers

Unless the huge wave of US H1B dudes will come down, there is no chance to see the scores coming up.
Not only them, I see dudes from AUS, UK, Ireland, NZ too want to come to Canada.
I mean, why these dudes do not want to try a temp resident or a PR in the respective nations but just blindly want to come to Canada. I know it is an open opportunity and is for everyone, but can't understand the logic behind those dudes applying from developed nations.
ok dude
