Renew Indian Passport in Canada

Hi All,

I want to find out on how to renew the Indian Passport in Canada on an expired PR Card? I have talked to the lawyer that I should apply for a PR re-new once I have met the residency obligations that will be late next year but passport expires in Feb 2020.

You don’t need a valid passport if you are just remaining in Canada until you meet your RO.

Indian consulate in Canada may be able to renew without PR card by using COPR. Visit them in person to ask.

I know that. But just incase I need to travel one need to have valid passport all the time.

No, they don't accept COPR inlieu of valid PR cards. I had gone to the consulate and discussed this issue.
