Hi, everyone. I'm new to this forum. Hope I can get your help.

I've actually got an enquiry regarding proof of funds. What I'm planning to do is to list my wife as non-accompany since she's just too busy to study IELTS and probably won't get a sufficient score in a short-term even if she did. As I'm 30 until next June, so I think we're a bit running out of time. I've finished mine and got a satisfying score, resulting my CRS score a 467 with no spouse accompanying. So, I'm planning to do it myself and after I settle down, she will come to visit and join me at a later time. We don't mind the time waiting for a spousal sponsor since we can anyway be together with other types of vias.

So, my questions are:
1. As I've got some money in my own account but not enough, short for 3000 CAD. However, am I able to use my wife's account provided that I can prove that I have full access to her account? Or shall we change her account to a joint account?
2. Is it ok for our kid to apply for PR together with me, i.e., my kid is accompanying? I know this looks a bit weird but I can include my kid, can't I. But I don't know when to do this? After I get the ITA?

Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Thank you.

As a requirement for the money you need for your Express Entry application, the official website states that:

The amount of money you need to support your family depends on the size of your family.

The number of family members Funds required:

(in Canadian dollars)

1
$12,669
2 $15,772
3 $19,390
4 $23,542
5 $26,701
6 $30,114
7 $33,528
For each additional family member $3,414

If your spouse is coming with you, you can count money you have together in a joint account. You may be able to count money in an account under their name only, but you must prove you have access to the money.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Yes, I'm aware of this requirement. What I'm unsure of is that does my case fit in "You may be able to count money in an account under their name only, but you must prove you have access to the money." even if my spouse is not accompanying?

Transfer the required amount from their account to your own and get a gift deed.

As for your child, a permission/no objection certificate from the other parent is mandatory.
