Hi

Unfortunately my PR got rejected. This is the reason they gave me which seems very confusing.
The company I worked for outside of canada closed hence I took reference letter from my supervisor.
I mentioned in the LOE that hence I could not provide on a letter head.

The officer said, you have provided reference letter from your supervisor, paystubs, tax documents however Its not on a letterhead. He said you have also mentioned the company closed.

The contradictory thing is i provided my contract which is on company letterhead and experience letter which was the one i received in 2014 after i left the company which included my start and end date, 40 hrs full time on a signed letter head.

There is NO mention about these two documents at all.

And if the officer understands the company is closed what else on earth does he want me to do?

You have not provided any letter of employment (LOE) on a letterhead with signature as required for the
following work experience:

What is LOE? I submitted my appointment letter

Did your reference letter provide job duties on it? I submitted only reference letter from previous employment with all details on it. Just one no pay stubs or tax documents and I didn't have any problems

Did any of the documents include job duties and responsibilities? Other required details job title, start and end dates, salary / wage, hours worked per week.

And if the officer understands the company is closed what else on earth does he want me to do?
Just because you said it, doesn´t make it true. Did you provide any kind of documentation showing the company closed? (For example, there are often news articles about a company closing, an email, or even an announcement on a defunct website...)

Hi Jes

My PR got rejected 2nd time and I feel devastated.

)I did not submit any newspaper articles. Online though it is in news.from what I understand, officer is agreeing that company could be closed

2) I provided an experience letter which was 4 yrs back by HR stating everything other than job duties.
I am told since that experience letter was in 2014 it is not valid
That states my position, start and end date, 40 hrs, salary

3) My supervisor reference letter has my job duties, salary, 40 he's, start end dates

4) Appointment letter submitted to them but only HR had signed it. Is that why they didnt consider?

Overall, if they want they can find numerous reasons and be picky if they want to reject an application.

Some types above,

The 2014 experience letter was not valid was told by an immigration consultant and not officer.

Hi Jes

Aw... that´s even worse. Sorry to hear.

Without seeing the actual notes, it´s hard for us to guess.

Nothing wrong with it being from 2014 unless it was written before you completed the experience you claimed. The problem is the missing job duties and responsibilities.

That states my position, start and end date, 40 hrs, salary

3) My supervisor reference letter has my job duties, salary, 40 he's, start end dates

4) Appointment letter submitted to them but only HR had signed it. Is that why they didnt consider?
Appointment letter is written before you do the job, so it cannot serve as proof of work experience.

Overall, if they want they can find numerous reasons and be picky if they want to reject an application.
I don´t disagree with this, sometimes there´s something else about the application that makes the VO doubt, so they find a reason to say no.

What was the reason for the first refusal?

It is in the applicant´s best interest to make it easy for the VO to say yes. This is difficult to do when you cannot get the primary piece of evidence (the letter of reference). Substitute documentation often works, but not always.

Suggest applying for your GCMS notes...

I provided reference letters from my supervisors as company closed. Officer is acknowledging that. He agrees that company closed.
He says I did not provide ' letter of employment ' on a letterhead with signature.

I submitted my appointment letter/ letter of employment on company letterhead and signed by HR. It was not signed by me.

Jes

This is the letter
Document requirements:
The following documents are mandatory for each work experience declared:
• a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
• should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name,
the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title
and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
• should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following
details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company,
number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits;
You have not provided any letter of employment (LOE) on a letterhead with signature as required for the
following work experience:
 2013-11 to 2014-10 - XYZ
You did submit an explanation letter to inform that " company xyz" has shut down and closed in 2018
and that why you were unable to obtain a formal LOE on letterhead.
However, the other evidence provided (such as confirmation of employment from Direct Supervisor at
that time, two paystubs for month / year and month/ year, a certificate of income tax assessment (year
2m period from month / year to month/ year)) did not permit me to assess whether or not you did
perform the work at the declared NOC and for the declared duration.

The VO is saying that your alternative documentation was not adequate.

Can you indicate the NOC you claimed and the job duties/responsibilities stated in the letter from your supervisor?

Yeah, seems like.
He feels the letter of employment is what he wants. But I also had submitted letter of experience from 2014 which have all details, start and end dates, 40 hrs, signed by HR and on company letterhead. They have not
