Dear members,

I got terminated from my job yesterday. After 9.5 months, the manager printed a letter stating that I did not take daily lunch breaks and sometimes my performance at work is not high. He asked me to write my initials on it.

I am PGWP holder. I got 23 months until the expiry day of my work permit.

My question is: I worked for 9.5 under NOC 2422 and now lost the job. Is that going to affect my PR application? Will the 9.5 months of work count towards my work experience for Express Entry? I am planning to apply as soon as I complete 1 year of Canadian work experience.

In the Letter of Employment or Reference of Employment, that I am going to have to get from Service Ontario, is it going to show the reason for leaving? or just Company, position title, duties, salary and hours?

I really need answers. I may have to apply for EI as I am gonna have a big problem with money. But being eligible to apply for PR under Express Entry is more important.

Thanks all in advance!

Regards,

Assuming your NOC is skill type 0, A or B then yes, it will count towards your eligibility as a CEC applicant.

Thanks a lot for your reply! My NOC is skill type B. I have a mechanical engineering degree but I could not find anything else.

So CIC does not care about the reason for leaving job.

No. As long as you have the supporting documents to prove your work experience you'll be fine.

Would getting fired affected my PR application?

My friend said the reason for leaving will show in the reference of employment and in the PR application I will need to answer why I left work.

Please advice. Im freaking out. I need solutions

Thank you so much for your reply!

I have another question: Today I called the manager to beg him to change the reason for leaving from terminated to resigned or quit. He said no I cant help, BYE!

I worried that he won't provide me with a letter of employment when I need to for the PR application. Or he might write a letter and mention the reason for leaving.

Where can I get a reference of employment if he doesn't wanna to write me one? The company does not have an HR department. He is the only one who can issue one for me. About 3 months ago, I asked him for a letter of employment showing position title, company name, duties, hours worked, dates, pay rate and benefits. Will that letter help in the future? I got it in March 2018

Please advice!

The letter you got in March is sufficient.

Thank you for reply!

Im sorry, I would like to know about how can the letter be sufficient if the issue date will be old and that letter indicates that I was working full-time for the company in March? Im planning to apply for PR hopefully in 4 months. I am looking for a job and I will need additional 2.5 months to complete 1 year of Canadian work experience. The letter does not show until what date I stopped working.

Does CIC not require an up to date reference letter/letter of employment?

I want to use letter at least to prove that I once worked for that company as full-time with NOC type B, show CIC the duties I preformed and hours.
Main duties are required in the letter of employment to prove the NOC. I am afraid to ask my previous employer for a letter then he write me a bad one.

Please advise

you can show end date with a termination letter or a payslip and explain in LOE.

I am trying to get access to ADP to bring my paystubs but I need to the client # or employer ID to register and I don't know that.
I moved into a new place 4 months ago but I didn't give my new address to my employer.

Hope everything works!

I have a genuine experience of 7 + years in one of the reputed organization, and my profession and designation also matches the NOC. However i’ve been terminated due gross misconduct lately. My questions are as follows
Can i get the pr if i have the experience certificate that states terminated due gross misconduct ?
Let me be clear applying for PR can be done by all means but does my experience letter will be hurdle?

Would all depend what you did to be terminated due to gross misconduct.
