Hello all,

I got my Aor in January 2019. Status still shows background and eligibility not passed after almost 11 months. My medical is passed in Feb 2019. It was submitted on Nov 28,2018. So it’s already expired I assume. I did not receive any communication about renewal. Request for GCMS notes was done in July 2019.
I have not heard any update yet. No gcms notes even after 4.5 months after request. Anyone else having similar experience? Is this normal. What are the options in such situation?

Hi Amit_19,
Try apply GCMS every month. I applied in August October November and received the notes several days ago (finally!!!). You can also give IRCC calls, send webforms etc.
Good luck!

I called IRCC today and apparently even after raising two webforms and calling multiple times to update my address, its not reflecting in my account. No wonder its taking them more than 11 months to finalize our cases, they can't even update a mailing address after 3 months. I am really annoyed at the whole process and just needed to rant.
I am mentally preparing myself to wait till Jan/Feb if i will be lucky, because they will soon close for the festive holidays and there won't be a lot of activities until say, 3rd week of January.
In my GCMS notes, my file wasnt treated until 1st August (AOR Jan 15) and then my funds were wrongly calculated. At the end of the day, the case analyst claims I had $11,957 instead of $12,475 (a measly difference of $518). And since 1st August, no ADR/PFL was sent!!!! File was just kicked to the curb. Super annoying, I tell ya!
Meanwhile, I sent an updated statement of account on July 5th of about $14k, case was treated in August and the document from July was still not used in calculating my POF.
So now, after almost 11 months, I am forced to send yet another POF letter and only God knows when it will be reviewed/accepted. Coupled with the fact that my note from August had S.16 on it.
At this point, better to not expect anything from them until the 15th month (or longer).

Wow! And there I was complaining that my GCMS took 99days to arrive! Have you contacted the GCMS company you requested it from?
Also, you say your eligibility is not passed....did you see that in previous GCMS because not passed is not a good sign! You need to be on top of that.

Thank you. What happens to the medical test? I did my test and submitted it in November 2018. Which should be expired already Since it’s more than a year. Do I have to retake it?

I have not received a single gcms notes yet. I saw I am eligibility not passed on the status of my application thru my account. It also says your application is taking longer than expected. No gcms notes yet.

Hi Amit, the officer may either request that you retake the exam or they just extend it themselves. It is at the officer's discretion.

Ok, it's a little strange. The portal will usually say ''We are reviewing if you meet the eligibility requirements'' ....or something like that.
Just hang on for the notes so you can know for sure, what is going on. You can also call your VO if your file is being processed in Canada so they can give you more information.

Ah sis! I cannot even imagine what you must be feeling after passing re-med since October! They've literally wasted a whole month of the new medicals again!!!!

Thank you. By not passed I mean, it does not show I am passed yet. Portal does say ‘..we are reviewing if you meet the eligibility criteria..’ is it usual/ok they are reviewing eligibility criteria even after 11 months?

I am sorry this is happening to you. I do not understand why it takes them 11 months to review a POF. I wonder what they do with the web form requests we raise and why we need to raise multiple web forms to provide the same information.

I had originally hoped that maybe I would get the PPR by the end of this year, but you're right, seeing the way things are progressing we may have to wait till Jan/Feb or worse March.
