Can my bf apply for conjugal partner in Canada

My boyfriend is from Italy and we have been together over a year. He’s applied for work permits and worked here temporarily I have travelled to see him in Italy and we want to apply as a conjugal partnership, because legally he can not get a visa long enough to work here to be considered common law partnership. Do we qualify for conjugal partners ?

You don’t qualify for conjugal. He can extend his visa in Canada past the 6 months. He won’t be able to work though unless he gets another visa. If he is 30 or younger he should look into IEC.

When we met he was on his 6 month visa and got it extended that is how we got to maintain our relationship but he can not apply for another work visa

He has the option to remain as a visitor to meet the common law requirement.

There are no no barriers to you either living together for a year or getting married. You don't qualify for conjugal.

This doesn't change anything. There is zero chance a conjugal application will succeed since you face no real immigration barriers to marriage or common law.
