can applicant with 47 years old chance to get Phd scholorship

i ask this query for one of my professor
is it possible someone with 47 years old can get study visa ? i think percentage of rejection is increased
and is it possible university ready to give him/her an admission ?

Yes it is possible but certainly more difficult. It will have to make sense based on your previous employment and education. You also will have very little time to build enough savings to retire if you move to Canada at your age.

can you give an advise about just 1 problem
he has been teaching French in high level over last 17 years /he has master
and recently i realized he want to write a method incredible , method for french , obviously writer must has very intensive knowledge plus experience to do this ....

form your perspective what is the first step to get successful admission from canadian university at this age
mostly he does not tend to live or saving ..... if they(university) gives him study time with full scholarship i think this is a good opportunity for him

Not quite sure what you mean by a method but there is no guarantee he would get a scholarship. He would need to show that he has enough savings to support himself. Does he have a family? If so he would need to show that he has the funds to support them since a visa/permit is not guaranteed for family members of international students. He will also have to show why he needs to do a PhD at this point in his career and life.

in french language we have several books each books is called "Method de francais"
means something you can learn french and divided into levels

Not sure if it really make sense to return to school to do a PhD full-time. At this point in his life will it really lead to career advancement? Why not do a PhD part-time in his own country while working. Getting a job in your 50s without any Canadian experience may be difficult.
