hello everyone,

I've a problem here. I'm a Malaysian. As this is my first time applying visa to Canada, I mistakenly thought that the applications will be processed without the biometric to be done first.

But when I read it clearly today (as I've waited for the result for three weeks ) then I find out that it will only be processed after I do the biometric. My flight is on the 1st of December. I'll be doing my biometric on Monday (18th November) in Singapore.

I would like to ask how long it will take everything to be processed?

You can google a link to check average processing times.

I would see if you can change your flights. You should not buy tickets until you have the visa - IRCC will not expedite your visa application because you have proposed travel soon.

A bit odd as if you applied online, in a day or 2 there will be a request for Biometrics. Failure to submit one can lead to a refusal,

After doing biometrics, it will be acknowledged in 1-2 days. For online, it will reflect on you account.

Yes, they’ve emailed me to do my biometrics on the second day after I did my payment. But I thought they will be processing and I can do my biometrics later.

as earlier of the process where my friend did was once they approved the visa, then they will asked for biometrics.

Then I didn’t pay much attention in reading this time. it is stated there in which they won’t process till I do my biometrics.

it will take up to twelve days to process. Will it be 12 working days or 12 days inclusive of non working days.?
