With 455, I strongly suggest EE only.

no i think this year applications if not selected will not have any option, we may have to freshly apply again when the program reopens next year
Really? What happens to the fee and processed status of what happened till now?

No, I don't think so. The fee is so expensive. They cannot do that. It would be so unfair.

A quick question for Express Entry applicants or experts--
on my EE profile, I saw spousal points increased by 5 for Canada exp. this month itself but her 1st work anniversary is in mid Dec. I double checked the profile, 'Dec 2018' is mentioned as a start date. Wondering how did I get extra 5 points which does not make sense with the minimum rules ( see below link). I heard many folks experience the same thing but no idea why EE system does that. It could be riskier to accept ITA in this case. Watch out folks if your work exp. is nearing--

I dont understand why gave you 5 points. The points for the work experience of spouse in Canada are:
1 year - 5 points
2 years - 7 points
3 years - 8 points
4 years - 9 points
5 years or more - 10 points

Ahhh! I understand, the system is giving you 5 points for the first year of experience! Maybe it counts months in an inclusive way.... from dec-2018 to nov-2019, 12 months

that's what I guessed but the rule says 1 full year and total 1560 hours. This does not add up.

Anyway, they asses your application once you sent all the papers. If you got selected, until you send your package, your wife will have 1 full year of experience for sure

You are right, but again question is when to accept ITA-- a day after work anniversary or right away as soon as you get it? It should not reflect that you accepted invitation with already knowing that the points were wrongly provided. lol. EE System is not in sync with their documentation-- typical IT scenario..lol

I don't know how much time you have to accept an ITA, but just in case, I would wait as much as you can, don't?

LOL o_O:D:confused:

A complete application should be submitted within 60 days, so I assume, one can buy some time before accepting ITA ,and meanwhile keep working on documentation part. Accept ITA on a right time and then submit within 60 days. I think that's the safest way. I am banking on IETLS score, If I do well, who knows I will be picked in the next draw! ONIP experience has made me super confident now :D

Good to see your case go though so easy!
I submitted my application on September 3rd and process shows following:
Submitted: Sep 3
Assessment: Oct 1
DIP: Oct 11
Nomination: ..........(Still Waiting)

I am wondering there is something wrong in my case , but the office neither contact me for more document nor my employer.
