Hello,

As I just received my Software Architecture MBA (post-graduate) diploma, I am finalizing putting together my documentation to apply to Express Entry, but I have some questions that are not clear to me in the documentation requirements.

1) My letters from the companies I worked with contain my details, number of hours worked per week, responsibilities and so on. However, one thing I do not have in any letter is the salary, because when I asked for the documents I was trying to immigrate to Australia. Is this salary information really necessary? What additional documents can I use as proof, since rewriting the letters would be a lot of work and it was very difficult to get cooperation from all former bosses. Annual Tax Report? Initial Contract? Pay Slips (First and Last?)? Letter of Termination?

1.2) I worked for two places which I was paid by a 3rd party company. So I was working for company A and getting paid by a company B which don't know my duties, hours, etc... they just handle payment (it is legal). How can create proof in this case?

2) I have an internship time (paid, 30 hours a week) during my undergraduate degree. I read in some places that this time is valid, in other places not. All my professional experience was in my home country, so would it be valid or not?

3) I lived about 2 years in Australia doing an exchange. Do I need to get criminal report clearance from there or just from my country? I honestly don't even know how to get such a document from there while already out of the country.

4) Apart from criminal clearance, do any other documents need to be very recent? My employer letters are over 1 year old.

5) Looking at NOC codes, I have one time of experience on NOC 2173 (Software Engineer) and another on 2174 (Computer Programmer). How should I proceed? The NOC code should be written in the letter? As I stated before, I have the letter with the duties list and all info, except salary info and NOC code.

Thanks in Advance,
Alex.

1. The annual/monthly salary plus benefits has to be mentioned on the reference letter. Source: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html

1.2. Reference letters are usually issued by the company that extended you the offer and had the contract signed with.

2. As long as the internship was paid and not Canadian, it can be counted towards your work experience for EE. However, since it was 30 hours a week, it will be counted as part-time experience and not full-time. 40 hours a week = Full time job.

3. Yes, you need a PCC from Australia. You need a PCC from all countries where you have lived for 6 months or more in a row. Since, it is Australia, besides the PCC, you also need to submit your driving history too, even if you didn't have a driving license. How to apply for Australian PCC: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...police/police-certificates/how/australia.html. You can apply for an Australian PCC through a consulate/embassy in your current country.

4. Try to get recently dated employer reference letters. If you are not able, please explain it in your LOE that you obtained these reference letters, when you left those companies, tell it along with your relieving/terminating letter.

5. NOC code is not necessary on the reference letter, however, the annual/monthly compensation is.

Thanks for the info. I had three driving speeding tickets (on the same day/road lol) while driving in Australia. Will immigration stop me for this? I didn't go to court, I just had to pay the tickets.

It's fine. You won't be denied PR for speeding tickets.

Thanks for the answers.

The only thing which is worrying me is about the salary in the job letters which I really think I won't be able to fulfill. I will be able to send additional documents to support my job letter such as tax reports, pay slips, bank statements but rewritting the docs will be impossible as my direct supervisors already changed companies and it was a PITA to make them write in the first place and HR sign it.

So my questions is: tax reports, pay slips, bank statements is enough?

The reason for mentioning the compensation on reference letters to make sure that the job was paid and not free.

If you are unable to get a compensation details on the reference letter, mention about it in your LOE and attach relevant proof's like pay slips and/or tax returns.
