Hai I applied my Spouse open work permit on October 10 and it got rejected on October 29. The reason they gave was “I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit”.. Do anyone has undergo with the same situation. My husband was working in UAE for 2 years and resigned from there recently. He shows around 10.5 lakhs in his account. Other land and income around $7 lakhs. I am waiting for the detailed reason. So I can reapply if possible. Do anyone have the same situation. If I reapply is there any chance.

SOWPs are not guaranteed for spouses of students. If you want, you can order GCMS notes for more specific details from the officer.

I am planning to apply for a OWP for my wife next year, as myself is applying for a mater program. She already has a vistor visa of Canada. What is the difference of odds between applying for OWP outside or inside Canada? Which one is more possible? We have real jobs and home in our home country.

Same odds inside or outside Canada. The criteria isn’t fully known but it partially has to do with whether your family has the finances to support themselves if nobody gets a jobs in Canada. There does seem to be more approvals if you are pursuing an advanced degree like masters or PhD. If your spouse has a good job she/he may want to wait to receive SOWP before leaving their job.

Will sufficient finance proof help my wife get a SOWP? I think it's a little contradiction that the reason for applying a SOWP is we need the wage to support our life. If I have enough money, why do we need to apply it then? I don't know if I am thinking in a right way. Thank you very much for your reply.

Haii .Do any one knows about the subsection 200(1). What are the possible reasons for this subsection. Is it related to funds or relationship.

Was your marriage made public? I mean other than family members, did anyone else know about your marriage?

It was not public. It was a register marriage. Just mine and his parents and 4 of his parents.
This was the reason why your visa got rejected mate! The visa officer was not satisfied why you did not disclose the marriage to the public. This made him question the purpose of your marriage.
