We applied January 2019 and got our AOR1 February 27, 2019. We just received our AOR2 from Mexico today, October 29, 2019.

Does anyone know roughly how long it takes after AOR2? I know it varies from case to case but am just curious if anyone knows roughly? Our application says it is 10 weeks until the full year

Just heard from Mexico as well! They are giving us 15 days to submit 4 different updated police clearances - two from El Salvador and two from Nicaragua. This will be hectic since my husband doesn’t live in El Salvador anymore (but not complaining)!

Completely depends on where the PA is from , we applied sept 12 , 2018 ...... still here waiting for an interview to be scheduled . I do hope that things move quickly for you but also prepare for some delays

Hey everyone, I have a question!
The email from Mexico requesting the police clearances literally states that we can send them by scanning and sending them in a reply to their email. But then in the attached PDF that requests them it says “originals” in bold. To me originals are definitely not scans but in the email it says to scan and email them over???? Am I over thinking it? Should i scan and send in email and send originals ?

More good news today ... we received biometrics instruction letter, pre-arrival services letter and another letter that is maybe ... PPR??? Here's a quoted excerpt and then more info from the letter.

"This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application we require the following:

Copy of Valid Passport - please submit a copy of the valid passport's bio data page for you
."

Paraphrasing now ... It goes on to say that if the document is not in English or French, you need to send a certified translation with a copy of the originals. The documents must be received within 15 days of the date of this letter and our correspondence has to be sent to the Immigration Section of the Canadian Embassy in Mexico at the address indicated on the bottom of the page.

So, I'm a little confused as to whether they want the actual passport or just a (translated) copy of the bio page. And, is this our Passport Request?
But the bio page it states copy ? Is it all in Spanish ? I know my husbands passport from Dominican Republic there was no need to translate because it had both Spanish and English , does it specifically say mail this document ? If not I would photocopy the page they want and email it , then send a photocopy by mail

Urgh this visa office makes nothing easy . I would scan a copy via email and send the originals by mail , get a tracking number though because they are originals .

Good morning, I have another question
Do police clearances need to be apostilled? Currently debating this with my husband. I know they need to be translated and the translations need to be certified true copies but do the actual police clearances need to also be apostilled or are they fine as they are?

They do not need to be apostilled, Canada does not belong to "la haya" agreement

I would say no, there is no where that is indicated, I think it’s a US thing but my husband was adamant that it needed to be done so I let him do it
