Hello everyone!!
I need your useful opinion in this issue: I applied for temporary resident visa to visit my son. My application was awfully rejected because I omitted this important information: I didn’t include in the form that on 2004 I was a refugee claimant in Canada. It was not an intentional mistake I simply omitted and I attached the photocopy of my passport when I applied for Refugee status in Canada and I was refused. Ive received my passport and a letter from IRCC explaining that I was rejected because of that omission, and also expressed that I’m welcome to reapply if I can explain and give more information about that. I’m going to reapply and include that information this time on the form and I’m thinking about attach a letter with my apologies.
Questions are: Is that a good idea to attach a letter with apologies?
What are my chances to get an approval of my visa?
Thanx

There was no 5 year ban in your rejection?
If not you can apply again, you have to mention both rejections this time you dont really need to apologize that wont matter.
I must say it is highly unlikely you will be granted a visa given your refugee claim.

Hi Bongoman, In last paragraph after rejection reasons it said that “you are welcome to reapply...” No ban for 5 years.

Last paragraph always says that even in ban because the letter is a template, it must not say ban anywhere in the letter.

I’ve read the whole letter
Doesn’t say anything about it
You may not be banned but you can reasonably expect that any reapplication in the near future will be denied on the basis of a possibility of you overstaying.

Thank you for your help. I think is going to be very difficult (maybe impossible) to get my Visa approved ;(
Nevertheless I will try again on December next year
