Great insight, however I was referencing the other post of a January applicant still waiting not just ours and how there is no consistency at all.

Of course we all already know two applications are not alike but there are several of us from the same countries in this forum who applied at very similar times and just commenting how irregular this all is. There may be a system as you said but it doesn't make it any easier on any of us the way things are handled. Everyone has there reasons to get frustrated with the process and I think that's ok.

Regardless of the way you put it the process is a pain in the A** and we all have the right to vent a bit I would think. Unfortunately there is nothing to do but sit and wait and we all know that, but some times just putting out there to people in the same situation can help after all that's why we joined this forum to express the ups and downs of this whole experience.
You totally have the right to be frustrated , i am too , feb2019 and still nothing last news app was still in the back office storage and they said they still doing background check i really dont get how this can be soooo long shes a doctor ! Criminality is passed since a long ago nothing to declare notes are saying application promoted green PA So i wonder what are they doing

ughhh....

Such a headache!! No consistency at all and frustrating when we see people that sent apps after ours getting transferred and also still seeing people from January and maybe even December waiting.

We are happy for everyone progress don't get us wrong, but just wish there was a more organized way through this process. It really takes a toll on you mentally not knowing or worrying.

We feel like we are in complete limbo at the moment. Sort of like one foot here in Nicaragua and one foot in Canada, can't really make any major decisions about either at the moment.

Or people who get it in like 2 months. I really hope those cases are because they were either married for 10 years or married before the sponsor got their permanent residency. If its just regular cases like ours then it's just extremely unfair!

Congrats my hubby is here now Also so far adapting well. Glad this is over for you guys too
Congratulations... you can finally start your lives together. We are 14 months and still waiting. I guess we have to wait a little longer...

Around March 2018
We received a response from a webform that our paperwork was transferred again this time to Trinidad from Mexico. And that we are awaiting an interview. But we did not receive an official email stating that. Also with no date for this so called interview!

Ugh. I really hate this current system. Honestly the processing time could be cut much shorter if they interviewed everyone in the beginning of the process, instead of trying to figure out if a relationship is real based on pictures. Just: *starts background check* --> *send medical request* --> *interviews the person in their nearest embassy while waiting for the background check and medical to be completed*. Just by doing that the processing time of most people could be cut to 3 months

We are in the same boat. Same story.

I think interviews are becoming more common because they allow us very little to prove a relationship . 20 pictures and 10 pages of chats is not enough at all . My frustration is they wait the 12 months to tell you that you are in a line now for an interview Urgh

Hello. Received an email that my file has been transferred to mexico visa office for further processing. As I'm reading I'm noticing that many people here have to go for interviews which is prolonging the process. Not sure why my file went to mexico, I thought it would go to the local office.. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I agree...it would be great if they were screening in Sydney or something and if they see anything they want to know more about (not necessarily a red flag) they get you in the cue right away - and I wish we didn't have to do medicals until after we get through that part. However, I suspect that interviews cost a lot in terms of effort and HR, so we spend first, and then they spend - if you know what I mean.

Supportive letters are good proofs too same as boarding passes, proofs of communication , gifts

I seriously would be mad to be asked for an interview after 6 times (and a 7th one soon) i go there.

Is like , yeah i do that for the fun ? Spent a lot to get married and all...involved my boss for a permission to take longer vacation , all... (with all that involved to get married at foreign.. global affairs papers , translation, and embassy stamp of the foreign country on your papers before they are sent and used in the said country. Had money to loose i guess lol whatever

And our marriage is been recognized by the province of Quebec in the registry. So if this is a case of interview... i guess call everyone one.

Her parents were there organized and participated in all the ceremonies, my mom was looking the ceremony by skype (she doesn't have a passport and def not the incomes to go there). We had more than 50 guests that signed the guessbook which we provided as additionnal proof so... lol

We included 7 letters of support , all my boarding passes , you name it we added it . Still wasn’t good enough . My husband has never left his country and that could be a reason ? I’m not worried about the reason why to be honest , I just want the date so that our life on hold can move forward

I think thats the worst part about being in this process is that literally life is on hold.

Can't really plan to far ahead because we don't know the outcomes just yet.
