Hello all dear forum members:

I really can’t believe it but yes .. surprisingly it is PPR!!!
Though I got a ghost update late night but then it is my 3rd ghost update.. so I was just praying for not any new ADR or something worse but don’t know why deep inside my heart I had a feeling that it is going tonne PPR.

Many many thanks to all the forum members of Jan 2019 n Feb 2019 group for all their love, support n motivation when I needed it the most. I am really really thankful to all you.

Now let’s share my timeline :
AOR 16 Feb 2019
Medicals cleated - 4 Apr
Biometrics request- 5 Apr
Biometrics updated in CIC Account 18 Apr

Then there was a complete long silence. Then

27/08/2019 - emailed Ralph for status
(ELIGIBILITY- RECOMMENDED PASS(eligibility in progress), CRIMINALITY- PASSED & SECURITY- NOT STARTED.
04/09/2019 - called IRCC n got the status update info sharing is also complete plus agent told that file is open. (don’t know what that exactly means). She said Everything seems normal till now.
1st GHOST UPDATE after BIOMETRICS UPDATE W/O EMAIL ON 13/09/2019.
2nd Ghost update 20 or 21/09/2019.
3rd n final Ghost Update - Yesterday night
n Finally PPR today morning.

Sorry forgot to mention that PPR email came in the Spam/Junk in my gmail account. I was checking it regularly from the last around 2 months. So please don’t forget to check your Junk/Spam, you never know.

So I was thinking of updating earlier but then I thought would be better to go n submit the passports first n then in the evening I will update the forum.
So this is like my journey from the start to the finish. So just praying to God to shower PPR mails on all my friends who are waiting. Dear God, bless us all.
Congratulations!! Can you please share your visa office?

Hi there!
We are so lucky to get another request. :)
My husband is main applicant and even though he applies as skilled trades person, we are both University graduates and have Masters degree.

We downloaded CVs when apllied for permanent residence and after 8 months CIC required the following documents:

SV\Resume both for me and my husband in relation to our Masters\PhD studies.
Field of Study
The name of Thesis Supervisor
List of Publications
Detailed CV\Resume: A document containing a description of education, qualifications and experience.

It all slightly puzzled us both, for my husband`s current blue collar job is not related to his Masters degree.
His primary occupation in EE is in skilled trades and even though he had proper training but his Masters degree is irrelevant to his occupation for at least 5 years already.

Of course we can provide the information but still some questions remain.

Does anyone have any idea what immigration officer is trying to see by requiring these documents?
Why CV\Resume in relation to our Masters degree was required both for main applicant and depandant?
Should CV\Resume be any different when applying for job?
Did anyone had similar inquiry?

Any ideas and suggestions are highly appreciated.

I had that same request on 13th September, just follow their instructions and fill the form and send it back to them. Doesn't really matter if it relates to anything or not , it's something that they asked you to do which indicates that your file is open and they are moving it forward in the queue.

No problem.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, or any sort of an expert. Please reach out to IRCC if you have any pressing questions/concerns.

1. Assuming the medical expires in 12 months (i.e. March 2020) and my passport expires in April 2020, if approved, would I still be able to travel on current passport. Asking as this would not have a lot of validity left if I travel in let's say Jan/Feb 2020.

- I am not sure if it would be a good idea to cut it so close. I don't even know if they will issue a CoPR so close to passport expiry because they explicitly ask you to upload a passport which has at least 6 months validity. Now the situation is even more complex because yours took longer than 6 months.

2. Alternatively, would you recommend that I apply for passport renewal now and send over new passport details when I have them to CIC? Or would this further complicate the process?

- I think this is what I would do. You can always raise a CSE and update them via: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

If you're in the US this should take a few days and you'd be done. Also - now that we know you have RR on PoF it's not going to get approved super quickly, right?

3. Once they issue a CoPR, would it be possible to renew my passport then and send them the new passport information?

- I am not sure about this one either and I've read a few threads explaining that you might need a new CoPR. Again, further complicates the process.

4. Is there a number I can call to check this information from CIC?

- They've stopped taking calls from the US. you can get a canadian number from Textnow and call 1-888-242-2100.
The Webform link above is a very reliable way to call them.
Thanks again for all the info. I think the next best step would be to renew my passport then. Thanks again.

I hope showing some more thousands wouldnt be a problem. Is could be called ADR, however there has been times when they would request one Adr and once submitted and received by them they would ask for more.
2. It depends what u applied for, as u didnt mention ur timeline :)
3. It better to renew passport before they ask for it. For me after I submitted my application and got AOR i renewed it and gave a copy of my new passport, which ny lawyer uploaded online. This is better so that incase the decision is made, there should not be a reason as refusal because of passport expiration. Also it will save u time incase they ask for renewal, your process will be delayed.
4. Your COPR will give a date, u have to do landing before that date
5. Expiration of medical is for people who has done upfront medical. If u have done medical when they requested you, you should be fine.
I hope it helps :)
Thank you for the response. I agree, the better thing to do now would be to get my passport renewed. I'll respond to their PoF request in the meantime and then send over new passport info when I have it. I did actually get upfront medical but myCIC says Medical Passed on March 6. AOR: Jan 24. Is the CoPR date usually within a couple of months or approval or like even 6 months? Either way thanks a ton!

Do not forget to put some line in letter if explanation related to your loan...in a nutshell you need to convince officer that you have required funds along with supported docs and a logical explanation on ur loan stating that its not effecting ur funds
Thanks Tanu912. Is there a major difference between Procedural Fairness Letter and ADR/RR? I'll be able to show more funds and will submit all documents soon. I would still need to submit the letter highlighting outstanding student loan. Not sure what could be a logical explanation here that this is a monthly payment I make but has no bearing on my liquidity? Any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated. However, i'll def make sure the total funds I show would be enough even if they deduct entire outstanding student loan from it.
Also, people suggested here that I also renew my passport proactively (expiring April 2020) to avoid any more delays. Would you recommend this too? It'll likely come in 4-6 weeks from now and I'll have to send a webform for this update then. Do you think it would further delay/impact the processing? THANKS AGAIN!
